Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

You have them on offices, how come you never see them on houses? Especially as the houses in most new estates these days have no privacy as houses are built on top of each other....

Because houses have to be generic for builders to make money, letting everyone spec their own house in a major estate build would be recipe for disaster and not everyone will want blacked out windows. You can do it yourself handy enough, my brother has his done. Wasn't for privacy really but to keep the sun out more so.

Don't they block a certain amount of sunlight? Would end up with a very dark house.

Would also look a bit daft IMO.

All windows since 2003 came with low e coatings as regulation, therefore tints etc aren't required for an energy efficiency point of view.

Colour tints would look stupid on a standard house
