    Regards...jmcc

FB have them as well, look up for example Leo V or SF page and you will see a tick.

    His comments were indefensible.

Using the word Ra was indefensible. The rest of his speech wouldn't have made headlines. The stupid thing is twas one of his own was stupid enough to put it up

Cullinane says "up the 'RA" and Dublin media has a hissy fit.

You're quite wrong - many of us who have nothing remotely to do with the Dublin media have been disgusted. Mind you, it's not surprising that he would hold those views but to hear elected SF TDs so casually throw them out would make you fear for this state we hold dear.

Cullinane will be getting the DT's in a few minutes.

The Mary butler thing is a fake afaik. She issued a statement sayin it was a fake page. The copycat page didn't have the blue verified tick next to her activity so it wasn't her

Even if its fake having a nationally famous kiddie fiddling cover-up specialist go door to door for her is not. The catholic church wouldnt even have that kind of neck.

I was specifically pointing out that Mary Butler had highlighted that the profile was fake. I was not excusing the ethics of her campaign so wind your neck in.

Listened to Cullinane on WLR. Gotta say, for someone who doesn't like to dwell in the past, and wants to look to the future he sure does talk a lot about things that happened when he was about six.

He has apologized now for offence caused but not for saying Up the Ra. Its all very disappointing to be honest, a decent chance of a ministership dwindling.

    Agreed.

Not so sure about this one yet. A lot of time will pass before they get round to that.

Personally, I voted for him as I believe he is our best politician at the moment, and they were offering a viable left view ( I know you can pick holes on their manifesto). I did that with my eyes wide open, knowing the 'baggage' that can come with a vote for SF, but I'm still really disappointed when that baggage reared it's head so soon.

    Far from fake.
Mary’s excuse of it being photoshopped first, then a cyber attack and then a fake page is complete s**t.
She or someone off her page laughed at a post relating to child abuse victims.
There was uproar last night and multiple people were blocked.
Screen shots of the whole saga are online.
She fkd up period and should be made to answer.

I tend to agree with you but for entirely different reasons, I can't see a viable Government being formed, and could see us at the polls again quite soon.

FG are categorically out of the equation.
A left alliance hasn't got the numbers.
FF are at best cool about SF alliance and will have TD's rebel if it is enforced.

    Keep the posters handy.

Also her page seems to have mysteriously dissappeared

Some folks closer to this reckon that Mary or someone with access to her personal page (she has anothe mary butler TD one)... put in a cheeky reaction.. pulled it back and then forgot about how the internet works. Or that it is quite easy to capture a screen.

The truth will come out.Wheres the fancy bears kgb hacking team when you need them.

So is the blue verified tick nonsense then?

She will be on DT either today or this week he has just mentioned on WLR.

I know we all say a few stupid things after having a few jars. But to say "up the ra" when you actually have a chance at being a Sinn Fein minister in government represents an extreme recklessness and just gives ammunition to SFs critics.

Prime Time tonight mentioned the behaviour of both of them.

Well that is the point, it was only mentioned. Cullinane’s indiscretion was replayed and discussed on every radio program this morning. It was s stupid thing to do after a few drinks nobody is denying that. However, Dessie Ellis sang Get Out You Black and Tans in a count centre. One is just as bad as the other, arguably Dessie Ellis was worse. Why is Cullinane getting in the neck from the media but Dessie Ellis gets nearly a free pass. Double standards to my mind.

Thats the thing, Also wasn't come out you black and tans #1 on some itunes chart in the Uk and Ireland a month or so, with the Bradys ham company the air of it in an Ad (obv jokingly), Cullinane is in trouble however for what he said, I do think its a storm in a teacup. I just wish he did not put himself in this position.

Cos it happened a few hours after he was reelected to the Dail on a massive vote in the context of a likely SF flavoured government.

5/2 is a good bet I thought for another election in 2020.

For the record, I think they've made a show of themselves generally with their carry on, and bringing the tricolour into the count centres etc. We did well to reclaim that flag from the republican cause in recent years, hopefully it won't be taken back into the mire.

Dessie Ellis supporters sang a song relevant to the period between 1920-1922.

Cullinane cheered for an organisation which he now claims to be gone, but on stage he definitely referred to them in the present tense.

The thing is, he has basically reiterated his republican beliefs and support for what happened in the North during the troubles. We all know that the IRA did awful things, and haven't gone away. They tried to set off a bomb on a ferry on Brexit day just the other week.

An elected representative should be more careful when addressing rallies and not champion the efforts of illegal terrorist organisations.

So of our two highest polling TDs one is an apologist for terrorists and the other an apologist for paedophilia.

Politics really is a funny old game. People wanted Eddie mulligan pulled from the ticket and ostracised forever. For not paying his taxes. Dessie Ellis is an actual murder and he tops the poll.

People have been looking for change but they don’t actually know what that entails. They vote for Sinn Fein but don’t want to acknowledge their connection with the murders of innocent people. That’s why their annoyed at cullinane saying “up the ra”, they want all that hidden. They know he’s an IRA supporter but they want him to pretend he’s not.

David Cullinane stayed that he would never distance himself from IRA activity. Think about that for a second. Let’s take the Omagh bombing as an example. If you asked David Cullinane to condemn that, or to distance himself from it, he wouldn’t. And he tops the polls in Waterford.

People want to pretend that this stuff doesn’t matter but surely it has to? Fianna F and Fine Gael became so arrogant that they forced the country to forget about terrorism, and vote for what was really the only other realistic option.
