From the man that's going to construct 200,000 houses and build a city bypass...

Surely Loughnane will have to seriously consider his future in politics after that admission. Nothing worse than a hypocrite.

    a coked up hypocrite perhaps?

Just saw a statement he realesed posted by connacht tribune on Facebook. He admits to what was claimed and says he is stepping down from all the groups he is involved in.

He will be close enough. I know him personally. Not a bad lad at all. But his family afflication with a party that had alot to do with the recession and hard times faced from 2008 onwards you woukd have to be mad to vote for him. Full of populist bs that unfortunately will dupe a lot of people.

Be a bit awkward walking into work on Monday after this. Be a lot different than a bench in the Dáil, that's for sure

Don't know him personally but don't think he's the most loved man in any of circles he goes in through what friends of friends have been saying for a good while.

The journal are reporting it as him being suspended for smashing a womans phone, nothing about the spitting which is pretty poor reporting given that he admitted to it all

Crazy stuff. Election in Tipperary cancelled due to a candidate dying a week before, but the day of an election a candidate is accused of violence against a woman and is kicked out of his party. If this is a tight election there could be legal grounds for a revote

It's the Journal, poor reporting is what they do.

Yeah, the 100 or so first preference votes that Joe will receive will make all the difference to the formation of the next government.

What does this have to do with him causing criminal damage and spitting at a woman? (which he admitted to)

That McCall lad is a mouthy little rat.
As for Daragh O'Flaherty, you just have to read his election leaflet to know what type of individual he is.

I'm absolutely not defending Loughnane here just in case anyone gets the wrong idea but based on Twitter anyway he had already attracted the attention of some complete and utter fruitloops well before today. If they descended en masse on the Journals comment section it's no wonder they turned the comments off.

He's finished anyways in politics after that carry on with his girlfriend.

The comments were never on. I saw the report about 15 minutes after they uploaded it and it wasn't possible to leave a comment even then.

    The Journal do it frequently.
