I listened to yesterday's show - it was a classic.

Joe is such a humanitarian...he understands the human condition. His voice and silences tells it all...intently listening picking up on cues, body language, etc.

His breadth of knowledge astounds me. The ability to delve so deeply into surgical and medical conditions. WOW

I’ve always loved how he shows the callers how intently he listens by asking a question they’ve already answered, sometimes even more than once in the same conversation. It really keeps the petals and auld dears on their toes so to speak, and could also be used to help identify the early onset of Alzheimer’s - no doubt Mr. Duffy picked this up during his medical studies in Trinity College Dublin so to speak.

Vote Brian Scott No. 1 in Dublin West this Saturday.

    Whoy you ask?

    1) He'll keep the price of tinned tomatoes down.
    2) He'll design you a world class lighting system.
    3) By the way did I mention, he's....greeeaaatttt !!!!

"...no Joe, you rang me !..." A.Caller.

Is Joe still trying to claim he came up with the "Sleepless in Saggart" line?

No. To be fair he credited the caller who "coined" it.

It won't stop him using it as his own.

Joe's silences do indeed tell it all.
Every professional broadcaster on the planet knows that "dead air" is the No.1 enemy of live radio.
Every broadcaster that is, apart from one.
How many times have you heard a caller say "hello??" after being greeted with silence while "talking to joe".
    What a pro!

If they get in we’ll never hear the end of it from Joe. As it is he is very vocal.

Remind me of a quote from Frasier:
Frasier: How did I do today?
Roz: Let's see... you dropped two commercials, you left a total of twenty-eight seconds of dead air, you scrambled the station's call letters, you spilled yogurt on the control board, and you kept referring to Jerry, with the identity crisis, as "Jeff."

There is fair promise of gold this week, I would put up to €5 on it if such odds were offered by PP.

In new private estates run by a property management firm you are not allowed put up barbed wire, paint your door a different colour etc.

    Meadows and Byrne, surely.
Specially twisted barbs with points filed by native artisans from the finest local steel.
