I've said it before and I'll say it again, nothing, NOTHING, should be totally free. It is just open for abuse, even a nominal €5 fee should be applied, same with bus passes even 50c. Anything free is not appreciated and abused by certain quarters.

    rant over!

I was listening to the end of the show in the car after meetings today and I heard an ad for radio advertising that I hadn't heard before.

It got me thinking of an old ad, that aired about a year ago, for radio advertising. Now of course I can't remember the ad itself but I recall Joe had a right bee in his bonnet about it, so much so that he ended up getting the advertising company who were behind the ad on Liveline.

I wonder did the ad air again, and if so was it all down to the great man's input.

If you want to hear a looper! Go listen back to Ivan Yates and Eoghan Harris. Maddest radio I’ve heard in a long time and I’m not new round here callers!

I’ve always loved how he shows the callers how intently he listens by asking a question they’ve already answered, sometimes even more than once in the same conversation. It really keeps the petals and auld dears on their toes so to speak, and could also be used to help identify the early onset of Alzheimer’s - no doubt Mr. Duffy picked this up during his medical studies in Trinity College Dublin so to speak.

He did law in Trinity not Medicine.

You see I think that Joe does this deliberately, to ensure that story is correct. He is testing them. It is a very clever tactic, very clever indeed.

Lol. I know he didn’t do medicine....as if.

He didn’t do law either btw.

Give it a rest will you? Seriously? Are you really that bored?

Joes holding his own with 363000 listeners according to JNLR.

A euro for each listener is great value.
