    Hi all,

We will be refurbishing our house in Swords in May, and we are now deciding on what windows we are gonna go for. Has anybody imported aluminum / aluclad windows from Easter Europe (Poland, Lithuania)? If so, can you share the details of companies in those countries we can contact? Thanks!

I’ve bought windows from Fakro. They have suppliers here in Dublin.

I wouldnt touch any of them.

Friend got aluclad from Sweden or somewhere. After about 2 years, every hinge lock and handle turned to crap.
It cost a fortune to put it right as whatever set up they used wasn't compatible with any of the locally available locks. They had wind out opening sections that seized closed etc. A disaster.

I dont have much knowledge about these I've never had them but I read about them rotting from the inside out due to our damp climate.

I'd always recommend sourcing through a local builders merchant. The way things are local business needs all the support it can get. ðŸ‘
