The annoying thing is when they get it right it is still criticised. Van Dijk jumps under the ball and uses his back to jump into De Gea. It's a foul a clever foul but a foul nonetheless and VAR got it 100 percent right. 100 percent.

You do know that your opinions do not automatically become facts, right?

It looked like van djyk jumped for the ball and de gea ran into him. No foul

Counter point: it didnt look like that at all.

Keane is right when he says Liverpool arent a great team but wrong when he says van Dijk didn't foul de Gea

A player like him would be embarrassed to win a foul like that

    Ole is deluded.

United's approach play was relatively ok.

There was simply no cutting edge. Didn't commit many players to the attacks.

You couldn’t be more wrong. Keepers are the only players allowed come through an opponent to get the ball with his fists. Van Dijk is entitled to jump, he kept his arms down amd he doesn’t have to get out of the keeper’s way. De Gea was weak and fluffed his punch and then went crying to the ref. Wrong decision.

Ole all over the place in the interview.

Spot on no problem with the offside but Van Dijk was just competing and De Gea fluffed it, pity it was ruled out cause the finish was incredible

Keane saying Ole needs 2/3 more seasons.

    Love it!

There has literally never been a better start to any league by any team, but this isn't a great team ?

    Right so.

Keane is making a show of himself here with his defence of Ole.

Fair play to Carragher for not letting him off the hook.

Carra rightly pointing out that Keane had standards that he's not applying to Ole.

Not a great team? Reached back to back CL's (winning last year), 97pt season, following it up with a league winning run (undefeated, only 2pts dropped), won 2 trophies already this year (with PL title on the way), still strong chance of winning FA Cup and/or CL. Undefeated at home since April 2017.
    This is a great team.

    Nope. You're wrong.

Van Dijk cleverly using his experience turns uses his body (in this case his back) to jump into the midriff of the keeper. He's not going for the ball. He's letting the keeper have the ball cos he knows the keeper is going to get there with his hands and instead he comes under the challenge and body checks the keeper. It's a foul.

It's not a great team till it wins a few big trophies over a few years.

Oh I'm well aware of that, I'm agreeing with the VAR call on it. And I think VAR if given the chance will get these calls right and the decisions will be better because of VAR.

The weight of opinion on here is very partisan pro Liverpool. Doesn't matter how many likes Liverpool fans give each other on here. VAR got that right.

Would you say the current City team are a great team?

I think they need to win the CL and then come back next year and win another league or another CL to be classed as great. Likewise Liverpool have more to do to be classed as great.

    Yes. 198pts in 2 seasons.

I think they're incomplete till they win the CL and I think Pep and the Man City owners would see it that way.

I find some of these conversations tedious. Depends on how you define "great". You can say Liverpool is a great time right now, no question. Cementing a legacy like Utd did is different but we are well on our way to doing so. Splitting hairs over a definition of terms is all well and good, but you cannot take away from how great this team is right now.

They've collected two other trophies already this year, and have a great shot at the CL and FA Cup. The team is full of world class players. It's a great team.

Thought Maguire looked so average today, as did AWB.

Robertson actually had a poor game too, IMO, but had Gini covering him, especially first half. Thought Henderson was brilliant. He's a real captain. Terrific leader.

By the way , I'm a pool fan. But would agree pool would need to win multiple titles to be considered one of the great teams.

Salah's strength at the end to hold off the defender and finish that they way he did was incredible.

    Special.

From a toffee, I'm struggling to find where my begrudgery is for this Liverpool team. To be honest, I kinda like most of them.

This title is a long time coming for Liverpool. Wonder will I ever see Everton at that end again.

All I hear is AWB is this beast of a defender he was all over the shop second half, Like he was on the Walsers for 90 minutes, Maguire is average at best but guess what he's English so over hyped, Not on young Joe's level

If they are both wearing outfield kits then there's no issue. Always seems to be some strange notion that goalkeepers can't be touched (yet can sometimes actually punch attackers in the face and get away with it). One of the refs on the analysis even said there is a law that a goalkeeper can't be touched when inside the 6 yard box which was just a massive lie.

Romero must be p1ssed off that DDG makes all these howlers and still keeps his place, DDG needs to be dropped for a bit.

DDG keeps his place when he pulls off one mega wonder save per game like he did in the second half.

As hilarious as the Keane/Carragher shout-off was, it's a bit of a reflection on Man Utd at the moment. Looking to the past for answers. They've just not gotten with the times. I'm no Liverpool fan but that's a great team, built in the image of their coach. They recruit brilliantly, their scouting department must be one of the best around. On the pitch they have an identity and the fans all buy into what they are doing. Some of the football yesterday would actually make you a bit jealous of the irritating Liverpool fan in your life. Ole's team have none of that, they're poorly prepared, they can barely string a few passes together at the back without giving it away or hoofing it up pitch. Keane's defence of Ole was good for laughs, but long term there's no way anyone can think he is the answer.

Man Utd have been charged with failing to control their players.

By failing to mark Salah for the last goal presumably.
