Reliable doing gun

I’ve spent 45 Euro on branded ones and 22 Euro on a “lamb drencher” and none seem to last. So, what dosing or drench gun would people recommend?

We've a philips 20ml for the last ten twenty plus years......... just after being told by OH we got it 2003, so I exaggerate ..... it has dosed a lot of sheep

Sound job. Tis expensive but sure tis only expensive the first day I suppose! Cheap then for the next 10 years

I was like you op and bout the Philips one. Never a problem since. Delighted with it. I do oil it after every use though

It's a Phillip's one but not same design as my old one must be newer design.

Got a Prima dosing gun - 70ml - during the summer but only got around to using it last week. Brand new so I thought there would be no issue with calibration etc. Gave it a go over weekend and the mls set on the gun doesn’t match what comes out. Anyone have any suggestions?

Probably not what you want to hear but go and buy a N.J. Phillips dosing gun. I have tried a lot of them and there is nothing to touch a Phillips.

It could be anything.

But it should be right, however if it's consistently putting out the same amount, just measure what it's putting out and if you have to set it a 60ml to get 50 ml then so be it.

If it's not putting out the same amount every time, you'll have to dismantle it and check the two valves

Clean the two valves for a start, I think the prima has one in the nozzle and another in the plunger, a little speck of dirt in either will affect the accuracy.
