Opposition to the terrorist mass murdering child killing state of Israel is not anti semitism.

That's the narrative that's being pushed by McGuirk and Co similar to the narrative that was pushed against Corbyn in the UK.

Antisemitism is not an issue in Ireland in any comparison to the UK, the lack of any kind of large Jewish population kinda governs it tbh.

However, politicians being called out on stupid shit that they say is very much a phenomenon here, regardless of who dug out the dirt - it's there, and put there by the person themselves.

But isn't it a bit hypocritical of a SF supporter to criticise "terrorist mass murdering child killers" when some senior figures in her party have somewhat similar CVs?

Nope - she lost that seat in May 2019.

    Sorry I don't buy this.

If any of our outgoing TDs were to start tweeting this stuff now they'd be crucified for it.

As an ex- representative who knew they were to stand in upcoming GE she should have known not to tweet this stuff.

Also think she needs to do more in her apology. She needs to retract her statements rather than just apologise for any hurt caused. Apologising isn't the same as saying she doesn't think these comments are correct.

They're trying to make it an issue that's the point targeting those who are pro palestinian in this fashion David Quinn is tweeting about adopting IHRA guidelines its all coordinated following a playbook.

You can't really equate the two Israel deliberately carpet bombs hospitals schools etc whenever it feels like it the PIRA were choirboys in comparison.

Are you saying they have fabricated what they are reporting?

There wouldn't be any game to play if the people in the spotlight weren't putting the ammo out there themselves.

There is an enormous difference between being pro Palestinian and anti semetic btw.

If you're coming looking for an Israel argument, or a display of whataboutery you're in the wrong place, the issue here is that the new SF TD has said some seriously stupid shit, and is being rightfully called out on it (unfortunately headed by a bunch of headbangers but the facts remain factual) The ins and outs of Israel & Palestine is not what normal people are pissed off about.

Besides, Israel didn't exist when she agreed that Hitler was a pawn of the jewish banks, so no - it's not an Israel thing.

Yeah the Hitler thing was stupid alright but I dont think normal people could give a ****e about this one way or the other to be honest. This is very much an Israel thing pro Palestinian political figures being targeted by right wing commentators it's a grift or gript in this case well established in England with Corbyn.

There's no excuse for her tweets or Sinn Féin's lack of backbone around this.

If this was a FF or FG TD they'd have resigned by now.

Sinn Féin really are just acting like the Irish Tories - spouting lies, blaming everyone else, abhorrent views etc.

Yeah, nah, it's not though. Its an ejit being called out for being an ejit. Ireland is not the UK, or the US, we have our own way of looking at things, and its a lot more nuanced than one viewpoint VS the other viewpoint.

Irish people and north kildare people want Healthcare and housing reform. When is the going to sink that most normal people dont care about Readas opinion of Hitler or Israel.

And what are her solutions on health and housing?

Anyone that is so naive and stupid, to post this kind of **** on twitter, doesn't fill me with confidence that she has any solutions to major problems.

They want quality representatives though, not people who spout ridiculous ill informed scutter into the public domain. It doesnt spell much for reliability or credibility in a persons decision making abilities if they are so easily influenced by nonsense. Eg. Fluoride, hitler in cahoots with the jews, paedo judges.

Sure look what were FFG's solutions. Allow vast numbers of new builds to be bought up by investment funds. That worked.

    1. Housing and healthcare improvements are unlikely to be delivered by any political party and these require a long term strategy!
    2. When was the survey done into whether constituents cared about Cronin's publicly shared bigoted and ignorant views?

well if she kicked out all the jews, bankers and other groups she hates, that would be a few houses. Not vaccinating children is pretty quick population control.

aaah, deflect back and blame FF/FG/everyone else. The classic SF tactic :)

Its a legit argument though. FF destroyed tue economy and ruined the country. FG have continued to ride the middle income worker. Im happy enough for the shinners to have a go now.

I am amazed at the hoops SF supporters will jump through to excuse the actions of their TDs... I mean, anyone can look at her tweets and say "the woman is a ****ing idiot". Do we want people that believe in conspiracy theories making decisions for us?

"yeah, but.. whatabout those poshboy FFG... they never fixed anything, SF would fix it overnight"

Frank in the Champion is ensuring he won't have a chance at the next whenever it is, blaming Celbridge voters for not voting for him on geographic grounds!
