Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Moved into a ground floor apartment 20 months ago. The previous owner used to brew his own beer etc and we think he had yeast etc in the room. The Mrs thinks she gets a damp smell from time to time. Daughter bought us a dehumidifier at Christmas and it takes 1.5 to 2 pints a day out of the air. I seem to remember reading the average person lets 1 pint of water off at night. Any thoughts from the collective.

Brewed my own for decades. Can't say as I've ever noticed much from it, to be honest. Maybe, once in a while, I've opened the door to a nice, malty whiff in the air? Sadly, that dissipates fast enough.

Yeast? Yeast is generally kept vacuum sealed, and / or in a fridge.

So, yeah, damp? By all means. But, I'd hardly think someone getting a brew on all that time ago would have any bearing on now.

Thanks Stig. I'm begining to think we are on top of it now. I put on the dehumidifier most days when we are at work. The reason I asked about yeast etc was in the first month here we found a "hairy mould growing on the back of a headboard and dressing table. We cleaned it of with Dettol spray and nothing appeared since. No damp on walls and only the "smallest possible" condensation on bedroom window in morning.
