The Minister for Justice is constantly undermining the court system by reversing their considered decisions.

This is no different from Trump and his pardons for criminals.

We should bring in a Social Credit System, like China. No scumbags then.

Newsflash. China still has scumbags, thieves etc etc.

A social credit system is a boneheaded Orwellian idea.

It's also inevitable, even by volountary paid-for means.

Folks are actively buying networked always-on home audio recording devices (shortly to have cameras also), and ditching cash for wireless-trans cards. Unlocked their mobiles, with (cloud stores) biometric data, and so on...

The Aussies were trialing welfare cards, that barred certain types of expenditures. So that lotto ticket was no longer available to Bruce 'n Sheila on their way back (empty handed) from the bottleshop.

Not inevitable in places like Germany, who having a living memory of a big-brother autocracy who salivate at such things. Indeed, mass deployment of facial recognition technology in public places had been banned for a 5 year period at an EU level because of civil liberties concerns. Thank you to our Teutonic friends.

Was there any discussions with the public before the ban on facial recognition cameras?

People want the law enforced, and issues discussed.

People might choose cameras over crime if given the choice.

Surely the Ring, Alexa, Siri and all other home tech or biometrics are all flying off the shelves in Germany (as elsewhere) under the guise of 'convience', the same goes for cash-free (monitored) transactions.

Any public ban is (partial) street level only, and excludes private or commercial organisations, retailers, shops, cafes, transport companies and so on.

No technology has privacy guarantees, Amzn's CEO had his phone hacked this week and Zuckerberg always keeps black PVC over his laptop's webcam and microphone.

There is only one way to get around FRS, but that involes latex. A (temporary) measure is algorithm overload using clothing, but that won't last long, before they exceed the (current) benchmark of 200 faces per second, per camera.

Are any parties promising a reform of the expense system after years of FG TDs claiming very dubious expenses?
For example: Dara Murphy, Maria Bailey, Alan Farrell, Michelle Mulherin etc
    New Politics?

Absolutely nobody tackling the anti social behaviour and crime problems in social housing / council estates. Long overdue tackling especially with the housing crisis and people declining houses because of the behaviour in some estates.
