The televised debate last night featured the leaders of...wait for it...two right-wing parties.

    Crawl back under your rock.

Right wing except for abortion, mass immigration, transgenderism, gay marriage, porn literacy, drag queens, climate change, hate speech laws, the EU, multiculturalism...'
They're right wing except for all those issues in which they're exactly on the same page as the parties of the left.

Kind of like the way the left are on the same page as the right when it comes to the ultra capitalist policy of mass immigration.

So your definition of "Right Wing" is Racist, Homophobic, Misogynist and Anti-Science?

    Fair enough so...

I'm saying that the supposedly right wing parties are on the same page as the supposedly left wing parties on many, many issues.

As it happens I don't believe the right/left dichotomy is relevant at all any more. All the main parties both left and right have been coopted by Capitalism/Globalism.

Which is why I'm voting for the National Party.

I don't think transgenderism has much to do with science.

I'm on left my self but I oppose Mass Immigration because it drives down wages and puts pressure on services.

No need for the "but" Gerry-Karl Marx himself would agree with you:
Ireland constantly sends her own surplus to the English labor market, and thus forces down wages and lowers the material and moral position of the English working class.3

And most important of all! Every industrial and commercial centre in England now possesses a working class divided into two hostile camps, English proletarians and Irish proletarians. The ordinary English worker hates the Irish worker as a competitor who lowers his standard of life. In relation to the Irish worker he regards himself as a member of the ruling nation and consequently he becomes a tool of the English aristocrats and capitalists against Ireland, thus strengthening their domination over himself.
This antagonism is artificially kept alive and intensified by the press, the pulpit, the comic papers, in short, by all the means at the disposal of the ruling classes. This antagonism is the secret of the impotence of the English working class, despite its organization. It is the secret by which the capitalist class maintains its power. And the latter is quite aware of this.

We can agree to disagree there , but the Anti-Science comment was more linked to Climate change denial etc.

FF is a centrist party and FG are Neo-liberal. FG are pro-abortion, pro-lgbtq, pro-mass migration, pro-welfare state. The only ways in which FG are vaguely right wing are in wanting to lower some taxes and in their bending over backwards to big tech corporations.

i take people who repeatedly use the subjective and loaded term "patriot" approvingly about as seriously as i take someone who refers to FF or FG as "right wing", so at least in that sense we have a fair fight in this thread

It seems to me that the media are completely ignoring the patriotic political parties such as the National Party, the Irish Freedom Party, Anti Corruption Ireland and Identity Ireland etc.

The Irish media are not very "inclusive" when it comes to allowing Irish Patriots on the airwaves.

By trying to ignore the patriotic political parties the media have made them into the only real opposition.

Every other party would claim patriotism too. The particular type of patriotism the above parties espouse isn’t really patriotism. It’s ethnonationalism based on bigotry.

    Whats "pro-lgbtq" anyway?

Should there be sponsored hunts for the "patriots" to exterminate them or something?

You know well that's not what I mean. There's a difference between hating a person and hating their actions. I don't want children in schools getting fed lgbtq ideology, for example, that there are unlimited genders. In fact gender should mostly be used in relation to grammar and really we should be talking about the two sexes (yes a tiny percentage of people are intersex, but not as many are as made out, people who are clearly males but with feminine aspects and vice versa are sometimes counted when they should not be).

I don't think anyone is "anti vaccine" but people have concerns about vaccine safety.

    Can anybody enlighten me please?
I understand the looney left want to give social houses to as many people as possible and they expect the squeezed middle to somehow pay more for this, I get that, but do fffg not want this also, albeit on a smaller scale.
