Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

On payday, I buy in about 2 weeks worth of food. Non-perishable stuff. It means in the case of unforeseen financial woes, the last 2 weeks before payday, I have stuff to eat.

I'm just upping my normal stockpiling a little bit.

I know a guy who stockpiles a year in advance, which is a little too much for me, but he says, he's eating behind inflation.

There are loads of bargains out there. Some examples/comparisons:

    SuperNoodles = 1.29
    Koka Noodles = .99c
    Tesco instant noodles .12c

10 packs of tesco own brand for the price of one pack of super noodles.

    Bachelors baked beans = 1.10
    Tesco baked beans = .38c

Heinz Tomato soup can = 1.45
Tesco Tomato soup can = .55c.

You can buy a weeks worth of food, stick it in a cupboard and hope you don't need to use it, for about a tenner. I'm hardly bankrupting myself by being prepared.

The more cases there are in the broader Asia Pacific the more vulnerable China becomes to the consequences of the charge of not being forthright as to the scale of the crisis there.

It must be a huge concern for the entire region.

The economic impact has yet to be truly felt of the recent turmoil as well.

two possible scenarios of this outbreak
    1. Virus becomes endemic without killing huge numbers of people, and
    2. Virus becomes endemic after killing huge numbers of people.

I usually add chilli powder, pepper, ginger or turmeric to these products. More expensive products are not anymore better quality.

I think that's been covered by some medical experts. Early / mild symptoms are similar to cold etc. The danger that elsewhere people travelling and infected / asympotomatic or otherwise will not / cannot be identified

Another UK national from the The Diamond - Princess Alan Steeled diagnosed with Coronavirus - showing no symptoms calls the quarantine on board a joke

There's rumours the religious sect spread it deliberately though don't know why people believe that to be the case, don't think it's been confirmed or even theorised by authorities in South Korea yet

Though not all the cases are related to the church a few are in Seoul and some are related to an outbreak in a hospital

Maybe they are Iranian Canadian that have settled in Canada, remember that plane that got shot down in Iran, there was 75 Iranian Canadian based passengers on that flight.

But even so.. aren't they reporting to have about 5 cases?? Qom has a population of more than 1 million. Presumably that person whether Iranian or otherwise only visited for a limited period. How did they contract it with such low numbers. Seems incredibly unlucky.
