OP doesn't state they're vegetarian though

    Thanks but I know that.

That's why I recommended Alliance Francaise but another poster said that was useless for veggies.
So I said Blazing Salads would be a good vegetarian option.

Anyway both of them are good eating houses :)

Ann's Bakery on Henry St. does a nice fry up before 11:30.

They precook and microwave. Was really disappointed when I saw them do that

I'd say most places do, at least some of the breakfast anyway. They might do the eggs to order, but I doubt there's any cafe cooking entire full breakfasts from scratch.

It is a nice place but for vegetarians I'd have recommended Blazing Salads on Drury Street.

    No place to sit

    A mere technicality :)
Seriously though if the weather is fine head to College Park or Stephens Green.
Either way don't leave town without some of that delicious food.

Something different for lunch Alliance Francaise corner of Kildare Street and Nassau Street.

    Unpretentious and relaxed.

Stupid question but do you have to order in french or at least know any french? Never been and would love to try it

Nope, English is fine in there.

    Not a bad spot either.

Spar on Talbot Street, has a serious deli. 5 quid, does the job.

    No need to speak French.
    Friendly and informal.

Came in to post that! Gerry's is a great shout but on the northside there is no beating the LovinSpoon.

Dunnes stores on Jervis street have a very good Baxter and Green deli the food is very good and not expensive. A lot of the spars around town have a very good deli the one on Dame st is good.

There is a lot of competition around town. I went to a brunch place in a suburb last week food was nice enought but not as good as say KC Peaches and about 20% more expensive that the city center.

The vintage kitchen on poolbeg st. has a load of small plates at around 8 quid and they are plenty big for a good lunch.
I recommend the chowder, it's fantastic, more like a tomato based fish stew. Probably need to book in advance though.

Six months in advance if you want lunch in December!

    Food is absolutely fabulous though.

Kind of depends on what you looking for really. Something greasy and cheap or somewhere with decent coffee and a nice menu (not too pretentious?) I like www.balfes.ie https://www.sole.ie/ or https://sophies.ie/ where you can get nice coffees, french toast or just something a bit different as a rare treat. Guess it depends on what you want though!

I work near it and have often booked that morning or day before for a table for 2.
Have never managed to get an evening sitting though!
