Moved to the UK last month and picked this up. Had been living abroad and hadn't had a car for a couple of years so I'm really enjoying it.
Only downside is that there is little to no engine/exhaust sound in the cabin so I'm having an M-Performance system fitted this weekend to liven it up a bit.

Picked up a basic detailing kit from Reflect Autocare and washed and polished the car this morning. 2017 Octavia estate Vrs picked up about 3 weeks ago.

vRS estates are so much nicer than the hatch, imo.

What kit did you get, and how did you apply it, i.e. hard labour or with an electric buffer?

After having 2 Hatch's and one Combi, I can absolutely agree.

Very close to buying one of these a few weeks ago. Same colour too but gran coupe. Ended up going for a 540i G30. I'd be very interested in how you find the m performance kit as I'm thinking of doing the same on mine.

Link below to the starter kit I got. Used the various products in that with a sponge and the wash & wax to start. Then the quick detailer and last the glass cleaner and tyre reflect product.

Will definitely miss that colour alright, no hope of getting another car in anything like it really. I've had a few people onto me, one might come up to view it soon enough as he's sold his car. I get tempted to hang onto it after the spirited drives, it really is something else in terms of handling.

Were you in Sligo with yours last weekend Colm? Saw one like yours that was in excellent condition, and absolutely sparkling, in an underground car park on Saturday I think

Estate all the way, although not many cars where I don't prefer the estate version.

Treated myself to a little classic off eBay last week. Shipped over from Scotland and I collected it and drove home from the north on Saturday. Very happy with it.

That’s the idea. It doesn’t sound stealthy though!

Love it. Only a car enthusiast would know what's under the bonnet, with the twin exhaust giving it away.

Does that mean it's still wearing it's badges or have you debadged it?

Very few would know what that is in fairness.
