If Claire Byrne entered the race I genuinely think she'd have a shot after this.

if our local post office was closed, elderly people in our parish would face having to arrange a lift 6 miles to post a letter. Now, whatever about keeping physical offices open, i think they need to come up with some form of solution where people can avail of basic and straightforward services without having to beg for lifts, etc.

Could the postman collect letters on his route?

Think Leo is doing ok. He's not trying to dominate but is making some good points and driving home his belief that they are best placed to manage the economy. He's also taken the piss out of himself a couple of times.

if they are best placed to manage the economy as you say they are then god help us....we are utterly fúcked.

What I always love about this time of the electoral cycle is how they all suddenly hit upon the real problems and answers needed to solve them

Then they get elected and it's instantly (conveniently) forgotten!
Now now , it’s only forgotten until the next election!

Parts of the economy are booming

Local businesses are struggling with insurance, local towns are full of people commuting an hour away to work

All they need is a postbox in the village, the local shop could sell stamps.
