They're interrupting when the candidates try waffling and going off the point in fairness.

That's not issue if they start waffling but the presenters are interupting before the leaders get a chance to answer

I'd vote FG if they said they would reduce USC.

Vote on what they've done, not on what they say they'll do.

That old chestnut has been thrown around for the last 12 years. Perhaps it's time to test the theory.

By all means, but I don't see it going any other way than what I said, they can just move to other countries and keep the money they'd be taxed here.

FG did not have an overall majority so could not implement all their promises.

Yeah its all a bit much when they arent even allowed to answer their questions. Tabloid stuff from Virgin Media in an attempt to create controversy

This is a shambles. Bring back Claire Byrne.

Thank you. We should have those lies at every crossroads in the country.

Things were a lot more calm and measured last night. The decision by Ivan and Matt (or their producers) to go for a battle royale is not paying off so far.

And they won't get one this time either.

    Coming up.....

Asking the leaders if they're landlords.

    Best looking woman on TV

The only winners here will be the advertisers and VM's bank balance. Desperately disrespectful to them all. Let them make a point and let the debate develop naturally.

Agreed, Ivan Yates is painful - his voice goes through my head like a drill

Its a poor debate so far. Matt is a joke with his constant interruptions. Claire is streets ahead of these 2 guys.

    A tough watch.

The two moderators going full WWE tag team is making for a lot of noise but little else.

Although if I'm think more rationally, I think there needs to be more spread of investment across the country especially if the greens get in power. We wouldn't need a metro North if we actually diversified across the country.

Very true. All the shouting is very off putting. Some of the candidates look flustered. Some not getting air time. Not great so far.

The politicians get flak, mostly deserved.

But I can't stand the double act of that little sh*t Cooper and his enforcer 'Billy big balls Yates'.

    False machismo crap.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,243 ✭✭✭C__MC

    Yeah scrappy opening
    No flow to it
Ultimately it will come down to next week with Martin and varadkar on RTE

    When the next opinion poll

  • Registered Users Posts: 119 ✭✭Borgo

Dont know what everyone is giving out about, this was always Matt and Ivans style, everyone is on edge and uncomfortable, works for me.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,390 ✭✭✭UsBus

Yates and Copper need to STFU and learn when to speak

I'm voting for the first politician to step forward and knock Yates and cooper the fcuk out...
Utter disgrace giving these two little bellends a soapbox to rant. It's bad when you find yourself respecting the politicians composure as they are being abused...

I hope Yates and his little terrier cooper get culled from the media permanently. They're an embarrassment

PBP looking to get people out protesting and I'd say there will have the collection buckets with them. Like every water protest

I'm still wondering where the Jobstown Not Guilty money went since they all had free legal aid ?
Mary Lou ****ing on about banks not paying tax while it was fact checked as BS during the week.

    Soundbites for Marylou.

Can't wait till they ask about €65k houses......
