Biggest problem for FF is that though people say they may vote for them a lot of people will be in their polling booth and just won't be able to bring themselves to vote for the party that brought bankruptcy, ruin, humiliation and shame on our country.

Yet the previous elections don't back that up. In the last election FF came out ahead.of polls.

It's SF I'd be worried about.... They where showing high during the last election and came out with 13%....

No love between MM and MLM tonight. There isn't a hope they'll go into a coalition together.

The lure of being Taoiseach and Tanaiste will be a powerful aphrodisiac

SF are in danger of taking some of those 2nd seats FF are looking for.

They really don’t appear to like each other as well.

Michael Martin is a smug fecker, never liked him. Mary Lou didn’t let him away with it, quite comfortably won that exchange.

Well they got 44 seats to FGs 49 four years ago. So Irish people have short memories and more water under the bridge since 2016.

Plus people know FG would have done the same. Global recession after all.

I think Catherine Murphy has been excellent it's just a pity she has barely had a chance to speak!

Murphy has been stumbling, bumbling and sounds like she's about to cry at any moment. Excellent??

If Dessie O'Malley went into coalition with Charlie.. Anything is possible.

Nobody has ever gone in with SF....That's not a record any party wants....to have contributed to putting SF into government....given their history.

    Freudian slip.

    Mm shares Eamons passion.

    My hole.

He used fly up and down to Cork frequently when he was a minister.

Coming across as a right sleezeball now.

Micheál talking about how all the focus was on a Climate Bill with the Green Party last time FF were in government.

    No Micheál.

All the focus was on being on our knees begging for a bailout from the IMF/EU/Denmark/Sweden and the United Kingdom.

FG tried to go a different path under Noonan, but got obliterated.

Nope sorry not at all, that's her voice.
She is definitely finding it hard to get a word in though.

    Irish people are funny.
The country atm is stable in alot of aspects but of course has issues like any country has.
I though FG have done a good job but it looks like ff will pop them. They seem to have a strong core vote that remains

FG were happy to bed with them for the last 5 years.

Matt and Ivan have calmed down a good bit in fairness.

Feedback on social media filtering through I reckon.

Leo reminds me of the FF guy always on the radio. They both seem to thrive when everyone else is riled, and they stay calm. No good unless you have actually anything to backup what you are saying.

FF/FG supporters would rather a coalition between FF/FG rather than see SF in govt. It won't happen.....not of they polled 30%

She's not speaking up to get in (you'd hear her)

She is stone dead last in this on all grounds basically. Should have sent Shortall both times.

Easy in opposition. The fact is FF and FG are so similar.

The FG/Lab government 1982-87 had a terrible record on the economy too. So so similar.

For the record I think the present govt has performed well on many issues.

Housing and health perpetually haunt us.

Roisin Shortall was way better on the RTÉ debate the other night
