Varadkar didn't speak up enough about the record drop in homelessness last month which even Father McVerry lauded.

FF/FG supporters would rather a coalition between FF/FG rather than see SF in govt. It won't happen.....not of they polled 30%
They'd much prefer a new confidence and supply rather than a coalition.

Martin's agenda exposed fairly succinctly there.

    His agenda of truth?

Must say it is the first time I saw him speak with passion and honesty about a subject. He was absolutely right about Sinn Fein, and you could see by the way that Ivan and Matt reacted that they knew he hit the spot.

Leo hammering them now on the present.

If SF overtook one of FF or FG significantly?

I'm inclined to agree but you have to see how the votes fall. FF/FG combine they become one party effectively with an alternate left.

She's not speaking up to get in (you'd hear her)

She is stone dead last in this on all grounds basically. Should have sent Shortall both times.

She's 1-18 on to top the poll in North Kildare last time I checked. FFs James Lawless her nearest rival, but still way behind.

Basically Murphy could don a pair of shades, put on some soul music and stoke up a doobie on this debate and she'd still be on a cake walk to be elected.

Free houses and free public transport though
    Ah yeah :)
Can you imagine free transport...it is a sh#t show in Dublin when it's not free already

That actually looks bad..an election stunt. Why just now?

She has zero concerns about her own seat or that or her co-leader, its the other target seats she has to worry about (Gannon, O Tuathail, O'Callaghan, Whitmore)

And getting more kicks from ML now.

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,134 ✭✭✭✭gmisk

Martin has been a train wreck
    I wouldn't go that far.
But his digs at MLM hasn't really worked, it's kind of had the opposite he has given it back in spades.

To be honest I though Martin was much better in 11 and 16
Hes been scattered and reckless in this campaign

How much do these electoral leader debates influence voters I wonder?

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,365 ✭✭✭✭McMurphy

Micheal Martin is being rattled time and time again by Mary Lou McDonald, she's tearing him and his agenda to shreds.

They are battling for a lot of votes that can go one way or another. Very interesting.

Toibin did them damage this week........SF can only try to laugh it of. But mud sticks.

Another clear win for Leo in this debate.

    Eamon Ryan Second. Mehole 3rd.

The rest all languishing in the lower tiers.
