3. Tennants are not paying state owned rents and they are a pittance (more than half are behind in rent, 20% more than 6 months behind).

They talk about rural crime as if cities are not being ravaged. It's Cork and Drogheda in trouble, not the far reaches of west Ireland. Have to be a tad bit realistic.

There are always going to be a cohort of people who will go out do an honest days work but won't earn much more than the minimum wage or a single income household on low income and have no hope of ever getting a mortgage.

There are those who have not and will never work too but social housing should not be a stigma that tars honest hard working people on low income.
