Poor performance from Mary Lou, her command of the issues is not good.

Well good luck and thanks that’s over.

The other two made Leo look like a winner.

Was thinking of joining the surge and voting Sinn Fein. Absolutely no way after tonight. They have been properly found out.

What? You didn’t know what they are about?

was MLM biggest mistake coming on the debate tonight.

She had to come on, she knew the tricky questions that would be asked and she had to spoof through them.

    She failed on Paul Quinn.

    Laughable comment

    I don't find it amusing.

Varadkar speaks too much. Real kind of over sharing or waffling going on. He seems extremely nervous as a person.

    Miriam: whats your biggest weakness?

    Leo: I'm too honest sometimes

    Miriam: I don't think that's a weakness...

    Leo: I don't give a **** what you think

I don't like any of them but think Leo won that hands down but I'm still not convinced the debates have much sway on votes in a general election.

Think they have more of an impact when it's a presidential election or a specific referendum.

Leo badly badly rattled by the Dara Murphy line of questioning. They don't represent FG yet he had them remain? Brain fart!

Leo not doing well at the end there

No prep was her biggest mistake.
though she did hit all the buzzwords until the wheels came off at the end.

Wasnt a long way off whats your biggest weakness-I'm a prefectionist territory.

It was, but better than the usual pre prepared "I'm going to save the world" crap.

Something to do with the level of political intelligence of the Irish electorate ?

Ah yes. Nothing wins voters over faster than telling them they're too stupid to be let have a say!

FG supporter? It's straight out of the handbook anyway.

No amount of prep can defend the indefensible though.

That was obvious all along to be fair.

I'd call that a draw. With if anyone MM edging it.

Nobody shone, and all performed to type.

'You are gonna mansplain corporation tax to me' was the comment of the night, because that was what he did essentially. :)

Man, MLM must have been awful if you're saying it was a "draw" :)

I think Leo did the best tonight.

The Paul Quin question will not have helped Sinn Fein.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,211 ✭✭✭realdanbreen

Should be all ok by Sunday. Monday at the latest.

Hey! Nothings getting sorted until we in Tipp start marking our voting cards!

If that was rattled, Mary Lou had the fillings shook from her teeth.

Leo answering that his biggest mistake is being blunt. While simultaneously giving an answer that is far from blunt.

    )

MM was best performer from a very bad line up- Mary Lou was throttled towards the end and Leo was asleep for most of it - people will turn off in droves from FG - but will they jump to FF?

I think Greens will (unfortunately) benefit massively in this election and independents will explode in numbers.

MLMD struggled badly on that Paul Quinn question.
When people start saying " ... my recollection" you know they are in trouble.

If the best that FrancieBrady can do is call it a draw, you know MLM was a disaster

I actually thought he had a good answer there, and could have pushed on the due process and not reacting to the twitterati, but he fluffed the follow through.
