Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Got a card in the door this evening from Virgin about them doing upgrade works on our road next week. They completely re-wired the road about 8 years ago and we've had broadband from them ever since without any complaint. Only broadband option prior was 8mb from Eircom. On the 360mb package at the moment and have no bother torrenting, multiple streaming and the Virgin TV boxes have VOD and red button services etc.

Just curious if anyone else has had their area upgraded recently in Dublin? is this FTTH I wonder?

    Done this week.

Its about a two hour outage, no sign of any cabling works. Likely replacing the head units in the street cabs to be ready for 3.1. Futureproofing with no immediate change.

It's Prep for DOCSIS 3.1 which will offer internet download speeds of at least 1Gbps whenever we get it.

1GBps definitely coming. Not sure when though.

New TV box will be out this year and that has a heavy reliance on internet speed as well so they're probably upgrading now to allow for that as well.
