I was browsing thru Reddit today and I came across an ad for a web based dermatology diagnosis service called "Triage" that took a photo you uploaded and made a provisional diagnosis.

Decided to upload a photo of a condition that took me over 2yrs, 3 GPs and 3 dermatologists to finally diagnose and treat for me.

I was honestly expecting the factors involved in the differential diagnosis to stump the AI.

    15seconds later...
It provided a range of diagnosis, with the most likely being Nodular Prurigo!
The A.I was right, the potential involved in allowing professional use of these tools is IMO huge.

Imagine not just tele-medicine, but differential diagnosis options presented by A.I to your treating GP?
Then being immediately referred to the correct specialist, or having the correct diagnostic tests to rapidly confirm!

The amount of work that many people encounter in being diagnosed could be massively reduced, allowing a move of resources to treatment and management of a whole range of illnesses.

The future is an open book, but the potential is massive!
