Kbc request for up to date I D and proof of address.

I’ve had a mortgage now for 16 years with KBC and just recently received a request for up to date ID , proof of address and job description.
Seems a bit ridiculous as my identity wont change, address is the mortgaged property, although my job description could change, it hasn’t .
Has anyone else had similar requests from KBC.
They have quoted that it’s needed to keep up with legislation, but can’t tell me which legislation and as nothing has changed, how does it fall outside of the legislation in the first place

provide them with the up to date documents to save yourself hassle in the long run

The legislation is Anti-Money Laundering , all financial institutions are obliged to keep up to date information on their customers: https://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/money_and_tax/personal_finance/banking/financial_institutions_and_identification.html.

Your particular situation may not have changed, but that does not change the fact that they need the up-to-date ID
