Looking for some spraying advice, have 1 silage field which last year had some thistles and flaggers (not sure of the proper name) and also some rushes.
Which sprays will help and can they be mixed for a single application?

You will need MCPA for rushes. You will need a sticker/adhesive as well. You will need to cut the rushes and spray the regrowth'd ideally. Not sure what kills flaggers but MCPA mixes with a lot of sprays. If the field is very heavy with them I would cut 2-3 time a year for two years to really weaken both flaggers and rushes

Flaggers are also called Yellow Iris. I have a few patches which I tried spraying with ForeFront T last year. According to the leaflet it should kill them. It stunted them, but didnt kill them.

I was talking to a guy at the Tullamore Show on one of the stands promoting the range of sprayers from Dowagro (Dockstar, FroneFront T, ThistleX etc)

ForeFront T is the correct spray. He recommended that you need to damage\cut the leafs to allow a good penetration of sprayer. Sticker or topping is not enough. You need a bit of growth and well damaged leafs

I am going to try this this year. I haven't figured out yet how I will damaged\cut the leafs. Maybe a big white torn bush dragged through them!!!

Be ware ForeFront T will kill everything including Clover. Also its expensive

Maybe roll them or a frame chain harrow 12-15'' off the ground

Roller is what’s suggested around here for damaging leaves before spraying....
