Looking for laptop for work.have v old laptop at home.need to be able to connect remotely and use mostly Microsoft Office products.need windows 10 and will be connecting to a monitor.budget €650-€800.Preference for Dell or HP.Advice in high street shops v poor and inconsistent. Looking at 8g 512mb at least Intel i5.

ryzen 5 compares well to intel i5.
8gb ram
256 gb ssd

if you really need to upgrade to 500gb ssd you can do so yourself easily for 50 euro but 256 is fine if you're not storing a lot of video or installing very large games (get a usb external drive for that instead of upgrading imo if needed)

premium build and quality screen

Asus is a very reliable brand.
