Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I am a fan of chest hair, much prefer it to the waxed chest look men have now. I don't think men need to shave/wax/ trim below either. Why would I be pulling hair out of my teeth? This may be crude but if it's not longer than his pubic hair it's not much good to me.

Omg my ex who I posted about earlier in the thread who always got the names of things wrong, who I have blocked on all social media, sent me a LinkedIn request today.

I found this bewildering as I am not on LinkedIn, but anyway I clicked on the link to her page in the email, as I was curious to see what professional capacity she might be working in, seeing as when we were together she managed to get fired from such difficult jobs as cashier and barista, for not being able to do things right.

Her profile says she is a 'self thought artist.'

    God love her.

Btw she is not self taught. I actually taught her. I had to, because when she asked to use my oils to try painting, I found her a couple hours later hunched over the corner desk, struggling mightily because she couldn't thin the paint. Because she was using water with them.

That's the thing, Kathleen. You trim away the foliage and the tree looks mightier. That's half the reason men in porn shave the whole shebang off. The other half being crabs, presumably.

I honestly couldn't be with someone I didn't respect intellectually. I have no patience dealing with stupid people.

A sense of humour is really important too.

    Also massive tits, obviously.

If you have ever said anything remotely like, "If you can't handle me at my worst, you don't deserve me at my best", with a straight face. Die.

    Unless you have massive tits.

Massive tits excuse almost everything else.

That's one thing I cannot understand about gay guys. They're missing the boobs. The poor suckers. I mean I have a willy and a prostate and am happy to have them, but to never appreciate big tits? Come on. That's like being a bacon-obsessed vegan.

Anyone who expects me to be as bald as a coot :L

After years of shaving etc I got an ingrown hair, that turned into a cyst, that I had to go to a dr for, who nearly sent me to Hospital as it was so painful and large, I decided no man was worth going through that again :P

I shave my legs/underarms and just tightly trim down there and my life has been more comfortable since haha

totally agree. Not going to put myself through all that and risk infection just so I can make my fanny look more like a child's. It's fashion and really not worth it.

Ah here, I have a big old bush but I don't think there's any need for that. If people prefer the look and feel of shaved that's their choice. It's their box like.

With pretty clear shade thrown at others. "just to make it look more like a child" "it's just fashion"?

But grand, stick to that line if you want.

    Edit:

Like if someone said "I keep mine totally shaved because I don't want it to look like a cave woman's and stink. It's just laziness and I'm not about that", you'd be grand with that, yeah, coz they're just talking about their box.

But it is just fashion? I used to wear flares, now I wear skinny jeans. It's fashion. I'm not 'throwing shade' on anyone.

She has a point though. It is fashionable for some men to want fully grown women, to resemble pre teen girls... which is more than a bit disturbing tbh!

I'm sure it's not solely driven by men, but mostly it is.

Jeez I wouldn't dream of having a bald box.

But a very bushy one can actually be sore for some women when a hair is pulled (there are varying textures of pubic hair). It's also sore/itchy though when the other extreme.

    So it's a real snatch 22...

Nah it isn't really - just wanted to say that. It's about balance though - too bushy can be uncomfortable (fashion my box) and too closely groomed the same. So an in between trim that still retains a pruned bush is the aim. A tidy-up is all. No wanting to look like a child.

I would just trim down below, if I were to totally shave down there it would look so ridiculous because my chest and belly and legs are like a gorilla's so I'd just have this totally bald patch in the middle of all this fur. I love being hirsute though.

I think most people just do what they find most comfortable and convenient for their lifestyle.
I really don't think it has anything to do with fashion or wanting to look pre-pubescent.

I get a full Hollywood every 5/6 weeks or so, because that's what I like. Not cause I'm trying to impress anyone or be fashionable.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,872 ✭✭✭Deebles McBeebles

Yeah its not that we want women to look like they have a 3 year olds fanny lads. Thats fairly disturbing. Its more about the logistics, similar to how some women prefer a trimmed or shaved set of balls to gargle.

A hairless adult box looks different to a pre-pubescent box, just as an adult penis and testes look different to the pre-pubescent version.

Sex hormones at puberty cause changes to both. A preference for less hair doesn't represent a desire for a child-like appearance.

but you didn't just come to the conclusion yourself that you wanted to remove all the hair on your fanny - It absolutely is fashion. In the '70s very few people were doing it. Now everybody does it. I'm not knocking it - we're all fashion victims to one extent or another but it is most definitely in vogue. I accept that my statement about looking like a child's was from a personal standpoint and I didn't mean to say that that's why women do it or men like it.

Glad to hear there are still fans of the Burt Reynolds torso. I wouldn't be a fan of bald ladies down below either always freaked me out a bit, it's a ridiculous standard women are held to these days not helped by everyone thinking it's normal from porn.

What about liking clean shaved faces - a bit pedo?

    Legs??

Well I started because I was a swimmer and didn't want my bits sticking out the sides, and went from there really.
I found doing the bikini line much more comfortable and gradually I ended up getting more and more of it waxed till I was getting everywhere done :pac:

I couldn't tell you how any of my friends tend their lady gardens, it isn't discussed. I'm currently single so no one even sees mine anyway.
And its not like society would judge someone either way, because how would they even know unless everyone got their bits out in public?
That's why I reject the notion that its fashion.

Like, is women wearing trousers "just fashion" considering 100 years ago it was very rare? That was driven by fashion, but it's also more practical and comfortable.

Pube removal is a trend that's endured and increased for like three decades now. It's catching on. I don't doubt that fashion is playing a part, and I don't think it's acceptable for people to feel pressured to remove hair to fit in and I certainly don't like this nonsense about it being unhygienic but there are reasons beyond fashion why people might decide they prefer being hairless/waxed whatever.
