Thanks, I'll check him out. I like to read all viewpoints... pro and con.

Anybody listen to Joe Duffy today. All about trump again. RTE are obsessed. There was one speaker on from Chicago and he was excellent, just a cool, calm Irish guy who said hes better off under Trump. I listen to RTE but live here in the UK. It's so left wing and so liberal is hilarious. A neighbour if mine said 'Do you guys have alternative channels in Ireland'? I said that's the channel that's supposed to be centrist. We have no conservative media in Ireland.

You had your neighbour over to listen to Joe Duffy?

That sounds like a barrel of laughs

Joe Duffy isn't liberal. He has people from all persuasions call in.

Ireland doesn't have a conservative media, because Ireland isn't a conservative country anymore.

As an aside, no media should be conservative, liberal, socialist, libertarian or any other persuasion. It should report the news.

Exactly - To borrow a phrase from Frankie Boyle , Joe Duffy engages in Human Badger baiting - poking them with a stick to get them to wail and gnash their teeth.

The politics don't matter , the faux outrage is all he's interested in.

I was wondering who would be the most viable backups when Joe Biden implodes?

Many say Andrew Cuomo would be the frontrunner, but the way he condemned thousands to death in NY nursing homes probably temporarily derailed his chances. There’s still talk of Hillary Clinton or Michelle Obama. Michelle says no, but who knows... egos have a way of clouding judgement. I’m sure Hillary is sticking pins in Biden voodoo dolls as we speak, but she remains damaged goods. On an outside chance there’s Bernie Sanders, Gavin Newsom, Cory Booker and Andrew Yang. Pretty pathetic cast of replacement characters the democrats would have to offer, IMO.

Whatever. It is a viable question. As Trump said here in town last week 'Joe has absolutely no idea what's happening.' Biden’s mental fitness needs to come into question and he keeps shooting himself in the foot. Recent news has come out that Biden is naming nutcase Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as co-chair of his climate change panel. That will really hurt Biden here in Pennsylvania where fracking is a major industry. And Biden needs Pennsylvania if he thinks he has any chance of winning the election. That pick might endear him to the far left but it will also hurt him in all the states where fuel is important. Man cannot live on wind alone.

This surely counts as trolling at this point. There is no question over Biden’s mental fitness. It’s telling that this fantasy is all you have to cling to.

Biden was driven on to avoid Sanders winning it , they'll never let Bernie be the replacement.

Cuomo is the only real stand out name at the moment.
He seems very clear on not running.

    Ahh come on lad.

Biden is a Godsend for Trump.

He may or may not have early dementia but he certainly has severe age re li ated cognitive decline.

Enough that it is a problem for him and leaves him very vulnerable come the debates.

At this point in the process it would be Mike Pence. He elevated his game in the pandemic.

It's a stupid question based on a complete lie. Biden's mental fitness is no worse than it's ever been.

Biden is currently +5 in Pa. That's outside the margin for error. Another lie.

AOC isn't a nutcase. Another lie. She is moderately left wing.

It's gone from "early onset of dementia" to "severe cognitive decline"? Lol.

Biden will demolish Trump if he shows up to debate

I mean you aren't even trying a new playbook

This time in 2016 you had the GOP media and open sewers like the National Enquirer telling us that Hillary wasn't healthy enough to be President , that she only had months to live , that she wasn't physically up to the job etc. etc. etc.

    This went on ad-infinitum.

Oddly enough , Hilary seems perfectly healthy to me , 4 years later. She was a crap candidate , but her health was never actually in question.

Now , we have exactly the same bull**** story from exactly the same places - "Joe Biden isn't well" , "He's just not up to it" blah blah bloody blah.

There are plenty of things that Biden could be challenged on Politically just as there were for Hilary , but this kind of utterly baseless attack on the opposition candidates health is just infantile..

And absolutely no-one buys it , just like no-one outside the Trump fever dream bought the Hilary is near death stories 4 years ago.

    Utterly Pathetic.

She's considered a nutcase and job killer by many here. A new poll conducted by SSRS for CNN shows that in the battleground states (which includes Pennsylvania) Trump is favored by 52% to Biden at 45%. As I said, his pick of AOC will hurt him here in PA. Biden is still up in the nationwide poll but you don't win on total vote, you win getting the battleground states.

This cries of desperation on your part. Biden's mental fitness is very much in question. Do a google search of 'Joe Biden mental fitness.' You'll come up with about 10 million hits. Even the Washington Post, no friend of Trump, is publishing articles saying it is fair to speculate if Biden is mentally fit to be president. Or do you put the Washington Post in the same vein as the National Enquirer?

During the pandemic I've watched so much of Trump. He is like one of those toys that talks. He just says the same 6 or 7 things all the time. I've heard the military thing so many times now.

Although more Malibu Stacey than Lisa Lionheart!

    Marc Thiessen?

Seriously? Just because the Washington Post gets a GOP surrogate to provide an opinion piece doesn't mean that it's a real thing.

He also wrote a piece for the Chicago Tribune roughly 4 years ago questioning Hillary Clintons health. He also threw in a bit of "But her emails" and "Benghazi" for good measure...

So , thank you for proving my point - Spurious tripe invented to smear the opposition candidate , it's the source of the smell that's important , not where you 1st smelt it..

Trump is a very good debater, charisma, forceful debater , more than compensate for his tendency to ramble.

Even anti Trump papers and activists are questioning Biden.

All of the Washington Post's articles are opinion pieces, whether they label them that way or not. They still all need to be approved by the editorial board and we all know they'd never allow something to slip by that goes against their basic ideology.
