There's not going to be an independent

"I"d love if they kept pushing it tbh. Only chance Trump has is against Biden".

Your words. You'd prefer Trump over Biden. It's ok to admit.it.

It's a he said she said thing at best. I don't like how she has been treated because she is a possible victim but we'll never know for sure unfortunately.

And what about the Epstein stuff? And Epstein's very suspect suicide? There's loads of stuff to have a congressional hearing over with Trump.
It's much more than a he said she said.

I think the democrats didn't want to touch the Epstein matter. It would have backfired in their faces over Bill Clinton and other prominent democrats and allies. There was very public information when the Epstein story got back in the news that resonated with the public that Trump barred Epstein from Mar Lago after Trump became aware of Epstein's abuses towards women. Apparently Trump is the only person to ever have taken any type of action against him. It would have been a no-win situation for democrats. The democrats could still call for an investigation into Epstein. Why do you think they won't?

You can ignorantly accuse me of "whataboutism," but what it really is involves identifying similar scenarios in order to see if it holds up when the shoe is on the other foot!

Do you actually read what he posts? He feels pretty much nothing but disgust for Trump. But he is being far more level headed and fair in his replies than any of us. It's not a crime to be fair here, you know.

I've been calling Trump the worst POTUS in history for quite some time now and over the last two months he's actually gotten worse.
I don't want either because I believe that Biden is incapable of being POTUS just like Trump but for different reasons.
I'm all for any other Democratic candidate.

Do I have to go to a laptop and throw up documents to show you the Epstein stuff? Seriously, you know all about it don't you? Stop bull****ting please.

Reade had her mother’s call to CNN, her brother backing up her story from back then, and her roommate from back then, also a neighbor from back then,

And her second cousin's sister's hamster. All hearsay. No staffers came forward to state that they witnessed or heard any sexual misconduct during her time working in Biden's office. You know, the people who were actually in the building. Either there's conclusive evidence or it's a he said/she said.

Yeah, certainly looks to be the case. Love to see him run as an independent.

And the Larry King call and the documents etc were all circumstantial and don’t mention any sexual assault. This is important, because we know there was another actual issue with her and possible retaliation for not serving drinks at a function, not anything to do with a sexual assault.

So you believe that to be an exact account of what happened then? That’s fascinating. For a start we don’t know who that was on Larry King and family members can’t be impartial witnesses. Biden never went from saying believe all women to saying believe me. That never actually happened.

This incident has gone viral. It was even live on Australian News when their reporters were rushed, for what we now know was the prep. for Trump's walk.
To make matters worse clergy were cleared from the church plus Trump had no words of wisdom, no calming address, just an ill conceived photo opportunity.
To make matters worse for him a comparison of a photoshopped Hilter holding aloft a bible in a similar pose has gone viral too.
It has created a large impasse to his re-election imo.

Yeah when you ignore all the hysteria he was a relatively centre left candidate who realised their was a huge gap between the 1% and the rest like FDR did back in the day. Biden will obviously be a much better option than Trump but he isn't the man that is needed to really tackle this inequality.

In some states and circles that comparison wouldn't hurt Biden needs to stop the mudslinging "he using the police force to protect himself" nonsense wearing a mask because Trump isn't is a low denominator to stoop too. If Bernie did run as a third party candidate it would allow him to stick to his own personal ideals but America is a two party system. Its gonna be a bumpy 5 months ahead whomever is challenging come November I hope they put up a good fight.

Yes I am. What a horribly insulting question to ask me.
You are on the same level as Trump now imo.

My you're delicate and eager to play the victim if this post is anything to go by. You're more than happy to ask random questions like "are you religious" out of the blue, but ever-so-offended when a simple one is put to you.

If this is what dementia looks like...I dunno what to tell you. Great, unifying speech from Biden here. Sounds like a president should.

Reade confirmed it was her mother's voice on the CNN call. Regardless, it all goes to much more credibility than anything Ford had.

America could do with 4 more years of this dementia over 4 more years of the other dementia

Ford took a lie detector and passed, did she not?

Not so "sleepy" now is he. It's refreshing to see real leadership for a change.

Not a fan of Biden, I thought it was a pretty good speech, the kind of speech that is needed in these trying times the US is facing.

I'm not so sure about that. I think he could pull from both sides. He would easily win the debates too.

I wonder, in the abuse of power that compelled the DC Police (who operate under a federal mandate) to forcibly clear the Church precincts and the abuse of the sacred ground and the Bible (as the Bishops see it) has Trump finally f*cked it.

50% of all Americans are protestant Christians, though not many are Episcopalians (Church of Ireland equivalent). Add in the Catholics and 3 out of 4 Americans value the sanctity, refuge and charity of Christian Churches.

Either way, a hat trick of own goals from the orange lump and his weasal acolytes.

See, to us Europeans, what Bernie's proposing sounds perfectly reasonable, sounds great in fact. The problem is, to a large swathe of Americans, what he's proposing is out and out socialism, which is simply abhorrant to many. He appeals to progressives, sure, but certainly not to conservatives and quite a few moderates as well. Remember, he's trying to win over the swing voters, not just the died-in-the-wool democrat voters.

Look at what happened to Jeremy Corbyn in the UK, for example. Boris capitalised on Brexit fever, appealed to his base, even though he's as far from most working class people as you can get. The working class didn't vote for Corbyn, as they found him too radical, never mind the fact his policies should have appealed to them most of all! I think Kier Starmer will do much better for Labour in the next election, but that remains to be seen and for another thread.

This is why I think Biden has the 'goldilocks' effect. Not too right leaning, not too left leaning....just right. For America right now. Now, you may find him uninspiring or bland or 'sleepy', but I think he will appeal to middle America and those in the rust belt who went for Trump in 2016, rather than alienate them with 'radical' ideas.

Just my two cents, but this is why I think he's the best choice to lead the Democrats into the 2020 election. He's not JFK by any means, but he's a safe pair of hands in my opinion, a known quantity. I really hope he wins, because four more years of Trump isn't worth thinking about...

Sanders will not run as an independent, no independent will get even 1 electoral college vote, it's between Biden and Trump, saying otherwise is completely delusional.
