Seems like his 'This is a great day for George' comment was linked to 'a great day in terms of equality' (or whatever the actual quote was, that's the gist of it).

But what I didn't get was why it was a particularly great day for equality - what the link was between better-than-expected unemployment figures and equality.

Yeah its not like the Trump ****eHouse has not doctored any clips to attack the press...

Expert: Acosta video distributed by White House was doctored

Again, like Andrew Yang said, don't focus your energy on pointing out how bad HE is, focus on how you good YOU can be.

I'm not at all surprised that the Whitehouse put out edited footage to attack their enemies. But when almost every news outlet in the USA, the UK, Ireland and probably the world runs with yesterday's fabricated headline, there is no moral highground to be had.

Even the truth, what Trump actually said, was crass. Shoehorning Floyd's name into his speech like that was a cheap attempt at using his name to boost a positive story.

But the way that headline was manipulated, deliberately misinterpreting what was said, and using Floyd's name as a weapon to back up an attack on Trump was even lower than how Trump used it in the first place.

All they are doing is adding fuel to his fire. He campaigned on fake news before. All he would need to do now is tweet a video, showing what he said and then what was reported and he would have provided crystal clear evidence of his "fake news", thereby undermining anything and everything that is said about him by the media.

I many ways the US owes China a massive debt of gratitude.

Their president has surfed the crest of an economic wave since his election in 2016, the recovery he has taken all the credit for has been not of his making, the global economy has been on the up.

If the Corona virus hadn’t left a huge amountS of the working class unemployed and unhappy then the reaction to George Floyds death might not have been as well attended and loud as it was.

The way that Trumps leadership bumbled with the pandemic response has been a real test of his leadership. In many ways the first real test of his ability. He tried to blame everyone else, the CDC, CCP, WHO and he might have gotten away with his “blame the commie” rhetoric on it come November except that he has also made the situation of George Floyd worse with that response. It will have proved to many more Americans how poor his leadership is.

They should In many ways thank the Chinese for all that has happened to their country since February, maybe some still blame the Chinese for the 100k+ deaths, or maybe they can see through his ineptitude now because of everything that has happened.

In November Trump will win more states and will win the popular vote. Americans are more clued in this time around to the fake and dishonest mainstream media. Trump is good for America, good for business and tough on crime. He is the leader America has needed for a very long time.

When the people who have actually worked up close with Trump and are telling you don't vote for him in November he is nothing but a self serving lunatic, I think there will be the required amount of voters to get him out.

Doesn't really matter anyway, their will be a substantial amount of votes cast by mail in November.

Trump has told his supports don't vote by mail.

    :pac:

That level of Dotardage is off the charts.

He is a very strong solid leader, shows good leadership, renegotiates trade agreements to favour America, shows up the MSM for what they are, stock markets are doing well again, people are getting back to work and he gives people confidence. If he was leader of this country he too would be very popular even with daily attacks by the fake mainstream media.

He hid in a bunker, then gassed peacefully protesters for a photo op, then built a larger wall around the White House.

Is Tump more dangerous in office or out of office?

I look at all the things he has done just this year and is he trying to self-implode?

Doing such a **** job that he gets beaten. Remember he never thought he was going to win and he said to Melania that when it was all over they would go back to their lives. One thing is for certain its all good for brand Trump whatever way you look at it.

Just so you know....that company also provided The Journal with this piece.

    https://www.thejournal.ie/trump-biden-george-floyd-us-economy-5116230-Jun2020/

    Look at the comments...

So...you'll forgive me if I don't consider that a reputable source.

APnews and AFP are not the same organisation. The journal article is from AFP

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,918 ✭✭✭Tippex

Well...you've just seen a news piece of theirs that has completely misrepresented what the President said....it's up to you whether you think that makes them "highly reputable" or not....

I had no idea who they were until that poster linked me to another article about Trump....which I was inclined to believe by the way.

You may need to look at that news source in a different light.

Please point out the Associated Press article you are referring to.

What do people think Biden's best route to 270 electoral colleges votes is?

You are trying to spout your Trump propaganda and it doesn’t work!

Trump and his followers keep shouting „Lügenpresse“, because that’s the oldest trick in the fascists handbook.
But in this day and age, it’s only working on a small part of US Americans.
The ppl who didn’t open their eyes and ears to Trumps daily mental breakdowns in full public view. And they never will. They‘d blindly follow him to hell if necessary.

Trump knows he will be losing in November. The GOP knows that they will be losing in November.
Only the Trump followers seem to believe they have a chance to win the popular vote (after they didn’t in 2016), as well as the electoral college.
Sorry, but with all the mayhem in the USA under this so called POTUS, there is no chance that the majority of US citizens would be voting for more of this chaos!

The only chance for Trump to win this November would be voter suppression and rigging.

He needs Florida for sure, if he can win Florida it’s game over as I think he will take a lot of the rust belt back that Trump won

To win Florida he needs the right VP. If not Michelle Obama it should be Val Demings she will secure Florida most likely for him

When will his running mate for VP be announced?

I don't think Michelle Obama would be a great choice. With the way senate races are looking it seems like its gonna be a really tight house, 49-51 or possibly 50-50. He probably needs someone with experience in getting people on-board to get legislation over the line.

Also I believe her when she says she doesn't want the job, and I really don't blame her.

Well he is more popular now than ever. You'll have to wait till November so before you realise how popular he is and then take off the blindfold the MSM has placed on you.

There is a silent majority in America that don't want racist BLM created by the MSM to divide people, immigrants that come in illegally without a due process, high regulation and tax for small businesses, leftist antifia anarchists that destroy businesses and burn down churchs, factories and jobs off-shored abroad and a corrupt mass produced mainstream media telling them what to think and do.

That's not a problem when Trump is driving it up, despite saying that he would eliminate it. It only becomes a problem when the GOP gets thrown out and the democrats have to raise taxes to pay for it.

If only we had some kind of measurement that took a consensus of the voters and thus generated how popular he is, like a poll of some kind
