And just to explain what a casino is, it is place where lots of dumb people throw lots of money at you with very little if no return, free money if you will yet he filed for bankruptcy four times!!

So with that in mind, can you elaborate on his killer business instinct a bit...show us his business success, the ones he achieved unilaterally without other peoples money!?

Lets start by talking about the following success's...

Trump Vodka. remember Trump and Tonic? Nah, nobody else does either!
Trump:The Game. HIs own version of monopoly...no?
    Trump Airlines? anyone?
    Trump Entertainment Resorts? See above...
    Gotrump.com?
    TrumpMagazine? Only lasted a year...
Trump Steaks? Shut down after 51 health code violations.
Trump University? You know the unacredited for profit school that has been sued twice, most recently for $40m by the NY AG.
Trump Ice? No, not me either?
Trump Mortgages? Their top exec had only worked on Wall Street for 6 days, he hires all the best people!
New Jersey Generals? Nah, did think so either!

And before you go one about all the real estate and property lets not forget Trump has received the equivalent of $413 million in today's money from his father's real estate empire to give how a head start...yet between 1985 and 1994 Trump’s core businesses lost money every single year, and the accumulated losses came to more than a billion dollars. “In fact, year after year, Mr. Trump appears to have lost more money than nearly any other individual American taxpayer, the Times found when it compared his results with detailed information the I.R.S. compiles on an annual sampling of high-income earners,” Buettner and Craig write. “His core business losses in 1990 and 1991—more than $250 million each year—were more than double those of the nearest taxpayers in the I.R.S. information for those years.(took that last part in italics from Newyorker.com, all easily verifiable)

Unless by killer business instinct that he does in fact kill off business's in which case I apologise for the confusion...

and hence the reason why he never released his tax returns, he probably has never has had any tax to pay, and has a perfect plausable reason for not paying any.

I think he was too naïve in the beginning of his presidency and kept on way to many of Obama’s appointees in powerful positions because he thought they would care more about the country then their hatred for him. Trump should have fired each and every Obama pick on day one, just as Obama did with Bush’s appointees.

Agreed. He should have cleaned house on day 1. Atleast no one with a shred of objectivity can say that he didn't give them a chance. Really, The Democrats have been borderline if not all out treasonous these last few years.

What if there were more protestors than police doing what he did?

As the old saying goes "What if my Auntie had balls" - There weren't so the point is moot , we are discussing their specific actions in this specific scenario , not some hypothetical situation that did not pertain when this happened.

I already explained why the officers actions they were committed to couldn't stop and arrest him. But you keep ignoring it. In hindsight, and merely because of the negative optics, what they probably should have done is forcibly keep moving him to the back of the police line so he could have been arrested. From the video it is apparent the officer who shoved him wanted to stop and help him once he realized the guy had fallen, but was stopped and made to do his duty. It was the job of the trained EMT's, who were there within seconds, to help him.

I'm perfectly open to the possibility that the officers involved were following orders and standing policy and therefore might not be personally 100% culpable , but that doesn't for one moment alter the fact that their actions were unnecessarily heavy-handed and that they resulted in serious injury to a non-violent protester.

Ultimately it might be a Sergeant or some other individual in a leadership role that turns out to be at fault. But SOMEONE within the chain of command of the police on the day is at fault that is an absolute certainty.

Let's not forget that the police department said he had "tripped and fallen" until the video became public.

AS A PERSON I think him to be boorish, full of himself, a blowhard and acts childish at times. But beneath his rough facade and killer business instinct I think he has a good heart. And he’s not someone I’d ever want to be friends with. But I didn’t vote for him to be friends with. I voted to elect him to do exactly what he is doing, or attempting to do, for the country and it's citizens. He has accomplished more goals than most of the numerous republican presidents before him have sought but failed to do.

    Killer business instinct? Eh???

He's still living better than any of us, and doing a great shift as the best POTUS since Reagan.

But your Auntie can’t have balls (oh, wait, in today’s world she can). Although the possibility exists that there could have been many more people that did what he did. The reason for the comment is you can’t have a hundred different rules for if there is one person acting like him, or three people, twenty people, sixty people, ect. Nor can you have dozens of different rules on if a person is twenty, thirty, fifty or seventy. You have one basic rule of order and engagement to follow and where every officer is on the same page.

I have a different opinion than you on the police tactics. I think a much younger person would not have been injured by the police shove. I don’t think the police are at fault in the matter, regardless of what happened to him. And it must not have been too serious, he managed to get a lawsuit put together in very short order.

You can ignorantly accuse me of "whataboutism," but what it really is involves identifying similar scenarios in order to see if it holds up when the shoe is on the other foot!

So do you think some 20 million hunters will be flocking to Alaska to cover 20 million acres of wilderness in the middle of nowhere, and with basically no way to get there, just to crawl into small holes to kill wolves in their dens? If you do I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.

I have to laugh at ya’ll saying it couldn’t be so because the technology is so advanced for a man in his 70’s. But it doesn’t matter if the technology is advanced, or not, or even bogus. If he thought he download some app that would do what the app claimed it could do (regardless of if it worked or not) he might have tried it out. Doesn’t seem he much cared about the law.

I believe Trump said 'he could' be Antifa. Correct me if I'm wrong on that. He seemed to act like some old Antifa guy would who'd have some difficulty breathing through a black hood because of his age. Seriously though, I'd think Antifa would rather beat him up before they'd allow him to join their ranks. ;)

You get one freebee, others will cost you. I've explained it many times before in this thread. No need for me to do it again. Bottom line when other states started allowing casinos, it tanked just about every casino in Atlantic City. When casinos opened up in Pennsylvania I no longer went to Atlantic City, just a many millions of others in PA, NY, CT, NH, MD, DE, MD, VA and elsewhere. Look it up if you need more detail. Filing for bankruptcy on behalf of the casino was the smart business move. As for the others, mostly small inconsequential ventures.

Trump @2.25 on (PPower today), surely this is seasonal peak price?
As much as would lke to see the value golden 3.4 target zone, it can't easily get much higher.

Filing for bankruptcy on behalf of the casino was the smart business move. As for the others, mostly small inconsequential ventures.

So a bit of competition and trump folded, not the sign of a good businessman in anyones book I wohjlx think.

A shareholder who invested $10,000 in Mr. Trump’s empire when the casino company went public in 1995 would now have about $636.That performance came at a time when the casino industry was blossoming across America, as more states accepted more gambling as a way to raise revenues.

I counted five other casino companies that went public in the mid-1990s. All made money for investors in the initial offering. The champion was Penn National Gaming, which will take your bets in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Mississippi, Louisiana and in Ontario. It went public in 1994, and a $10,000 investment would now be worth about $724,000.

Over all, an index of casino stocks is up 268 percent since June 1995. Trump investors lost 93 percent.

Why did they do so badly? Mr. Trump has an explanation. “The company has always been a relatively high-debt company,” he told me, and when it needed money the bond markets were not always friendly.
Bit in Italics taken from the NYT, all easily verifiable!

So based on the above Trump had a headstart on the new competition as he was already running casinos (Into the ground) yet still got beaten by the newcomers, pathetic really!

As for your second point. Trump doesn't strike me as the type to go for small inconsequential ventures. He spent $300m on the football team, not exactly small is it?

He raised $365M for his airline and within a year it had lost $120m, not exactly a small inconsequential venture is it?

    Shall I go on...
