Apparently the CNN polls that had Biden ahead by 14 points were outside of 'industry standards'.(they polled adults) If they polled registered and likely voters instead it would show Trump ahead by 8 points(June 11th poll of likely/registered voters)..

I was surprised by that CNN poll as well, but when you look into it its actually not out of line with national polls, possibly a tad high, but most reputable polls have Biden +10 nationally.
That other poll that you quoted showed nothing of the sort. It polled on a very did question, 'who do you think will be the next president?', where obviously name recognition is going to play a big factor.

Global report: six US states report most ever new coronavirus cases

Arizona, Florida, Oklahoma, Oregon and Texas all reported their most ever new cases on Tuesday after all-time highs last week and as they continued to reopen their economies. Nevada also reported its highest single-day tally of new cases on Tuesday, up from a previous high on 23 May.

    Uh oh.

Got a very bad feeling about all that. Cases are going to skyrocket there while Trump sticks his tiny little fingers in his ears.

The coronavirus discussion has all but stopped from trump.
They are trying to sweep a pandemic under the rug.
    Think they opened too early?

No briefing, no information, no leadership, no problem.

I was speaking to a close friend who's a nurse in Portland earlier this morning, She's saying the contrast between what the general public believe and what medical practitioners are trying to enforce is vast. So many cases coming in bewildered that they have contracted Covid-19 when they're being told by those in power it's safe to open everywhere back up

Forgetfulness...you mean something that happens to all of us from time to time? I went to a takeaway yesterday and when I got to the counter, I'd forgotten what I was supposed to order. I must have dementia then if your judging other people by the same standards you're judging Biden.
There's a huge jump from forgetting what you want to order to calling Corey Booker the President and telling the world you had a great discussion with a man that's been dead over 20 years.
I never mentioned forgetting Obama's name which wouldn't be that big of a deal imo.

Not necessarily depending on if a name is hanging in your head for whatever reason. Only a few weeks ago, I was talking to friends on a zoom call. I accidentally switched out friend's name with that of the woman I was going out with. I did this multiple times. I do not have dementia.

so one candidate can't drink a glass of water one handed and the other doesn't know where he is.

This is quite possibly the worst interview ever conducted by CNN's Brian Stetler.

Whatever the initial purpose of the interview it quickly degenerated, Stetler barely lasting 10 seconds before talking over Trump's campaign manager Jenna Ellis.

Before anyone says "he's just keeping her honest", that's just ridiculous I need to hear what she has to say before he disagrees with it.

Apparently the CNN polls that had Biden ahead by 14 points were outside of 'industry standards'.(they polled adults) If they polled registered and likely voters instead it would show Trump ahead by 8 points(June 11th poll of likely/registered voters).
Looking further into this story it seems 1,125 out of 1,259 of those adults in the CNN poll were in fact registered voters. Details and nuance we don't get because Stetler keeps interrupting her.

(There is a part 2 of this interview also)

Ellis' treatment from CNN here reminds me of how a certain poster used to be treated around here.
Snarky, bitchy discourse that just isn't helpful or in any way interesting to anyone.

Just on the "They polled Adults and not likely voters" - This is categorically incorrect as clearly called out by CNN in the poll details.

They polled "adults" for the general questions like - "Confidence in the economy" or "Feelings about the current unrest" etc.

However, for the question on "Who would you vote for" they limited the results to likely voters only.

They had a total sample size of 1259 , but for the key "voting" questions that sample was reduced to registered voters only and was 1125 - so 134 respondents were excluded from certain questions because they were not voters.

I also notice that they've gone quiet on the threats now since the Rasmussen poll came out with almost identical data.

The issue with Trump and his health is twofold and not really about whether or not he has some illnesses or conditions.

Firstly - He constantly attacks his opponents for lacking energy or not being fit & healthy enough for the job and secondly he refuses to admit even the slightest weakness on his part.

Would anyone have had anything to say if his response to the water glass and ramp questions was something like - "I have a bit of a gammy knee and I suffer from a touch of bursitis in my shoulder sometimes after years of playing golf" ??

No one would bat an eye and the issue would be dead and buried.

But no - Trump has to be better than perfect , the greatest ever or whatever and it's patently ridiculous.

He's an overweight 74 year old - He almost certainly suffers from some joint issues and the like, EVERYONE does.

But his refusal to live in the real world about his abilities (both Mental and Physical) mean that poking at him about it is largely fair game.

Even that isn't close to saying you were talking to a man who's dead over 20 years. Calling Corey Booker the President is another monstrous one.
When you consider how many smaller ones he has made, and there's been an lot, and then the bigger ones like those I think it's reasonable to be very concerned.

This one kinda leaves a sour taste in my mouth and just doesn't seem right. NBC reported The Federalist to Google and apparently they had to disable their comments section because it is unmoderated. NBC and MSNBC are part of the same stable, with NBC making itself a media policeman will they be reporting MSNBC when they publish unproven junk?

I have never read The Federalist but it was quite interesting to hear one of the co founders talk about how things went down. I know the majority are not Tucker fans but he called out some big names in the Republican party for not doing their jobs and giving Google a pass previously.

I don’t see the problem here. Fox is perennially angry about “boycott culture” and “cancel culture” even though they deploy it themselves. Anyone in the public, including a news organization, can freely point out something to a third party, google, who can determine for themselves if they want to be in a monetary relationship with the website, and they were clearly not under any obligation in their agreement to take the approach the federalist guy complains about.

What’s funny is they enjoy protection from section 230 which trump wants done away with. They can host whatever comments they want, but google is a private company not obligated to do business with them. That’s free market capitalism baby. They’re whining like a bunch of socialists and they don’t see the irony

Again context matters. These weren’t that crazy in context, like the President booker future president etc in a presidential debate for hours where everyone is talking President this president that as future president as president I will do this the president that etc.

Google have clarified and stated that The Federalist were never "demonetized" but that they reached out to them to discuss the issues they had and the problems were resolved.

    ZeroHedge was removed though.

As I understand the issue , the Ads for those sites that were showing up via Google search were including content pulled from the comments sections of the sites and as such some of the info displayed wasn't really up to scratch , So Google made them pull those ads and replace them with ones that they (the sites) could more directly control the content on.

I can only imagine the sort of stuff that might have been displayed, pulling from a loosely moderated comments section of pretty far-right web sites..

On that basis , Googles actions seem fairly reasonable to me , to be honest.

Who is Michael Aviante (49 secs)
Who is Secretary General Jeraaaar (50 secs) - Just look at the face on the lady behind him...
Who is Chris Response (59 secs) -

But I can save you some time and ask you to skip to 1.43secs...he knows it, do you?

In this selection of stable genius please explain how trump forgot the name of a guy who was in the rooms beside him, someone he appointed, who the hell is Mike Bolton...and the rest!!

Whats an infantroopen badge? (11 secs)
What are suspesdig gang members (20secs)
Who are the 9/elective victims (46secs)
Who is Karen, its like he just made someone up (1.36 secs)

Whats worse is that he is reading from a sheet or a teleprompter, the guy can even read whats on a page. My 7 yr old niece has a better grasp of language, grammar and reading than Trump!

So how you can sit there and say that Biden is in anyway unfit for office when the above is just a tiny percentage of Trumps misspeaking/forgetting/being rude etc etc.

All the Dems have to do during any debates (if Trump is brave enough) is to place a 30 sec split screen advert during the breaks showing Biden out running and talking with the public and the other side of the screen showing Trumps inability to feed himself, walk down a ramp, hold a bible etc etc etc...and the rest!

You think it’s reasonable to diagnose dementia based on the mistakes and completely ignore the massive amount of evidence that Biden has always made mistakes and is making some great speeches right now.

That’s not a reasonable position for anyone to take.

Seems more likely these flags are made for vendors on the streets. Official merchandise ordered from the campaign website is made in the US.

A maga hat my mother in law bought outside at the Greenville rally had made in China on it, we were laughing about it when she got home. She thought by buying the hat she was donating to the campaign, she put them in the trash and bought official ones instead.

    What's the misinterpretation?

The reference was not to your content it was to the Video you posted.

The suggestion that somehow the Trump mouthpiece would have gotten around to clarifying that the CNN poll was absolutely consistent with Polling best practices in regards to how they calculated the Biden lead in the Presidential race if only Brian Stelter had allowed her to finish is simply ridiculous.

Her SOLE purpose of being there was to trash the CNN poll - Why on earth would she essentially say "The CNN Poll is Fake news , well actually it isn't, it would appear to be a perfectly reasonable and valid representation of current opinions" ??

As I said - The purpose of her appearance on Stelters show was to lie and deflect from the utterly appalling poll ratings for Trump.

Stelter was absolutely correct to shut her down - she had no interest in fair debate or the truth.

In terms of the Rasmussen Poll

Scott Rasmussen - A right-leaning pollster that historically has given Trump his best numbers over the last 4/5 years produced a survey a few days ago for John Solomons website ( A VERY right wing Journalist) showing Biden leading Trump by 12 points.
Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden is up 48% to 36% over President Trump in the race for the White House, according to a new Just the News Daily Poll with Scott Rasmussen.

Two weeks ago, Biden and Trump were tied among Independents at 39% each. Now it’s Biden 39%, Trump 26%.

Biden now leads by 14 percentage points among suburban voters. Among those without a college degree – a demographic that’s usually strong for the president – the candidates are even. As for college graduates, they prefer Biden 58% to 29%.

So , his favourite Pollster produces results that are absolutely bang in line with what the CNN poll showed , but somehow he's only sending legal challenges to CNN and his "surrogates" are only trashing CNN for being "Fake News".

This is pretty much the only part I object to. That was really the point of showing that video, it grated on me.

I was a viewer trying to learn the facts, it seemed like Jenna Ellis was being reasonable and fair. It wasn't until I checked later myself that what Stetler was saying was right, but that's not the impression I got at the time.

It is his show, he invites guests on to speak; he should at least allow them to finish. If he had done his job properly and came back with the statistics and intricacies about the CNN poll and the rasmussen poll, then he would have made Ellis look like an ass. He could have done that so easily, but instead he chose to go down the route of badgering and abusing; which I don't think paints him or his cause in a good light. It's just not helpful for anyone.

You could argue he 'shut her down' but she's just going to go on another show and spout the same stuff, no?
