No I think it's reasonable to assume there may be dementia. I never diagnosed anybody. That's people reading poorly and assuming I said that. Saying somebody looks like they may have dementia isn't the same as saying as diagnosing them.

There’s absolutely no difference, you know well what I mean.

You’re defending Trumps failings on one hand and constantly attacking Biden. It’s not at all rational.

Bolton testifying would not have altered the outcome of the impeachment process.

With all the stuff he has just revealed in his book. Yes it would. And even if it didn’t that’s not for him to decide

No picture of a crappy newspaper to offer?

He made a reasonable point, the claims Biden is senile is a pretty similar tactic run against Clinton.

Absolutely. Although this information (if true) is very damning on Trump, it's just as damning on Bolton. Why didn't he speak up during the impeachment trial? He's a disgrace to his country.

That seems like a strawman. People are claiming that Biden is showing signs of neurological degeneration; which he is.
The greatest risk factor for neurodegenerative diseases is aging. Many of these diseases are late-onset, meaning there is some factor that changes as a person ages for each disease. One constant factor is that in each disease, neurons gradually lose function as the disease progresses with age.
About 20-40% of healthy people between 60 and 78 years old experience discernable decrements in cognitive performance in several domains including working, spatial, and episodic memory, and processing speed.

It's very easy to compare a person's cognitive performance if they've spent years being filmed in politics; just like Biden has.

Nail on the proverbial head. Besides even if Boltan had of testified during the impeachment trial the Republicans still would not have voted to convict him. They made it very clear from before the whole trail got underway they would not convict him end of story as far as they were concerned.

Talking from experience in looking after people with dementia on a daily basis ...Biden doesn't look like someone with dementia.

If you are not in a position to diagnose anybody as having dementia... saying its reasonable to assume is kinda ridiculous...

The scope of the process was limited to the Ukraine aid. Multiple senators said that they know that what Trump did was wrong but it didn't rise to impeachable conduct. Nothing that Bolton said would have altered that.

He claimed to be a patriot. What sort of patriot stands by while he knows what Trump has done and could do in the future

You think if Bolton started talking all the other stuff wouldn’t have come out of course it would have. You didn’t have to convince the hard core senators but once a few turn a lot would follow

Watch them turn now to save themselves because we all know Trump is toast now

Yeah, I doubt Bolton's book (or a resulting testimony) would have come out if Trump was cruising to a victory. Bolton wouldn't go against a Republican government when first called earlier this year, but he probably feels that Trump is on his way out via the polls so he won't be fully responsible to taking him down, thus saving face with those supporters of his in the Conservatives

Pretty incredible polls from battleground states today. One has Biden up by 16 points in Michigan, another has him +11 in Florida. Also a separate polling company has Biden up 2 in Georgia, meaning Trump will probably have to redirect funds from the rust belt states to shore up previously solid red states.

The NYT did an analysis of polls by demographic a few days back and it was pretty interesting. The main standout to me was that Biden leads Trump by 22% amongst female voters whereas Trump leads Biden by only 6% with male voters. Analysis said something that really helped Trump in 2016 was that many women stayed at home and didnt go out to vote for Hillary. If those numbers stick then there is a sizable cohort of women who want Trump out of office. Him being 22% behind Biden in this metric is going to be very difficult to turn around.

The standout for me was pride in the country in polling has dropped - and its dropped among Republicans.

I'm saying there's not enough in how he holds a glass or walks down a steepish bank to come to any conclusion.
With Biden it's words out of his own mouth. The big mistakes I mentioned and then the amount of times in the live debates where he finished speaking after not only making mistakes but made absolutely nothing sense.
I'm not making stuff up here, I'm just being honest.
I'd like a Democrat in the White House, a good, strong one who can tell Pelosi to mind her manners and stop dragging the Democratic party through the dirt.
I want Trump gone, I just don't want somebody on there that would can't trust.
We still have the live debates to come. He has a chance to show that he was just in a bad place for a couple of months in those debates and I hope he does that.
He has looked good in some of his speeches recently but they were not live and well rehearsed.

Well I wasn't looking for anything on Joe Biden, he did this himself in front of us all in the live Democratic debates.
I got more and more concerned as the debates rolled by.

Disappointing level of hatred to see from a millennial I’ll be honest:

“Burn a flag, burn a black”

Lindsey Clark Is her name apparently. Self identifies as Republican

Poisonous b!thch, probably trying to get some attention so she can get paid to do a porn vid.

I'm guessing she doesn't even bother turning up to vote. Previous arrests for dui, prostitution, theft, harassment.

going on my own experience of the same thing i dont see anything in Biden that suggests dementia. anybody who says he has dementia doesnt understand what dementia is.

By no objective measure is Biden a worse candidate than Trump. He may have been poor in early debates, but in the only 1:1 debate he did he was quite impressive.

Reading the NYT summary of Bolton's book, my take is it's all accurate, and will make zero difference. It's inconceivable there are still 'undecideds' at this point. Trump being shown to be a venal election-focused moron is no news; why start campaigning right after inauguration?

Bolton's book will sell well for him; about all this accomplishes is pushing important news further back, like the Covid epidemice in the US that's still growing, and the basket-case economy. Just yesterday I subjected myself to some Kudlow interview where he gushed effusively about the economy and how Covid's under control. As Kudlow is always wrong, this means things are soon to get a lot worse.

The issue with Trump and his health is twofold and not really about whether or not he has some illnesses or conditions.

Firstly - He constantly attacks his opponents for lacking energy or not being fit & healthy enough for the job and secondly he refuses to admit even the slightest weakness on his part.

Would anyone have had anything to say if his response to the water glass and ramp questions was something like - "I have a bit of a gammy knee and I suffer from a touch of bursitis in my shoulder sometimes after years of playing golf" ??

No one would bat an eye and the issue would be dead and buried.

But no - Trump has to be better than perfect , the greatest ever or whatever and it's patently ridiculous.

He's an overweight 74 year old - He almost certainly suffers from some joint issues and the like, EVERYONE does.

But his refusal to live in the real world about his abilities (both Mental and Physical) mean that poking at him about it is largely fair game.

Ah now, that’s not fair, he was very forthcoming about having bone spurs that were severe enough to make him exempt from the Draft.

He can’t quite remember which foot they were in now, but he was very honest at the time...
