It's so disgusting having this low rent thug in the White House.

I think the game is up anyway, main thing is to handle his inevitable tantrum when he loses.

My prediction is he will have to be escorted out in January. A sad and pathetic spectacle but I expect it to happen that way.

You can see it now, armed "militia" surrounding the WH as Trump rage tweets from within about how the Dems have "stolen" the election.

Already being discussed openly in the media, a lot of insiders don't think he will leave willingly.

To be fair I think we have all suspected this a for a while. He is already building the narrative of being cheated in advance.

The same way he did against Clinton, if he lost it was because it was stolen because no way could he ever lose.

This election is a shìtstorm waiting to happen.

To be fair I think we have all suspected this a for a while. He is already building the narrative of being cheated in advance.

Same way Nancy Pelosi and her merry band did during the impeachment?

"We have to get rid of Trump otherwise the results in November can't be trusted"

That's paraphrasing by the way, before anyone gets all upset and demands quotes, video and DNA evidence.

The constant narrative from politicians and the media was that Trump fiddled the last election and would do it again. In other words they were laying the groundwork for being cheated just in case he won.

Trump WILL do the same, of course. But how many people here were mocking the Democrats a few months ago when they were employing the same tactic?

Same way Eagle Eye and myself have been derided for not being medical experts when we suggest that Joe Biden may have signs of dementia. 5 minutes later and Donald Trump has serious medical issues because he struggles to raise a drink without using a second hand.

Double standards all day long here.

Fivethirtyeight's come out with Biden at +9 nationwide across a range of polls. 368 electoral votes to 170 if those numbers continue, about what Clinton won by in both elections

You were criticising someone for having a one sided view, criticising Biden universally whilst defending Trump universally.

It's ironic because a high % of the posters here do the exact same thing but the other way around. I didn't say you were one of them, just that it was ironic that you were criticising the lack of objectivity whilst blissfully unaware of those doing the same thing from a pro-Biden point of view.

This thread is a reflection of US politics in general. If you're not whole heartedly partisan you will be condemned by both sides.

    For example...
your "both sides" schtick is tiresome
It's like a prosecutor telling a judge that he shouldn't hear the defence case because this "both sides schtick" is just tiresome. Can't we just take my word as gospel and get on with it your honour?

    ?

It’s only ironic if I had a go at Trumps mental health while defending Biden. I’m not included in that “high %”, so please don’t quote my posts to take cheap shots.

1 - it's entirely ironic that someone is complaining about one sided Trump support whilst ignoring one sided Biden support.

2 - with all due respect, I'll quote who I please. I didn't insult you, call you names or otherwise act inappropriately. If you feel that I broke thread rules in doing so, report me.

    3 - it wasn't a cheap shot, it was a valid point.

There was no narrative that trump fiddled the last election. How could there have been when he lost by 2 million votes? The only narrative was the one trump started by saying millions of illegals voted for Hillary.
There was an investigation into Russia’s attempt to influence the election and their contacts with the trump campaign. This led to a few convictions and spawned other investigations which are still ongoing.

You can’t just change historical events in an attempt to make a false point about double standards.

I get the feeling that Fox News is starting to turn on Trump from the tones of how they are reporting him, of course the talking nodding heads later in the night will die on the hill with him.

But OAN are the new cheerleaders. Even log on to the site and not even a mention of John Bolton. Its crazy that some people only read one news source and get the views from that. Thats North Korea type stuff

The accusation was that Trump colluded with Russia in order to interfere with or swing the results of the election in 2016.

During the impeachment, Democrat politicians and left leaning TV stations pushed the narrative that if he wasn't pulled up for that, then the 2020 election results could not be trusted.

In other words they were laying the groundwork for their excuse if the Democrats lost (which looked likely at the time). Same thing that Trump will now do because it looks like he's on the way out.

Both sides will make cheap excuses and have them ready in case they lose.

Not that the 2020 results couldn't be trusted, more that unless they impeach him then he will try and do it again. Slight but major difference

Not really, one implies the other. If he tries again he might succeed which would mean that it wasn't a fair result, i.e. cannot be trusted.

Even if you disagree with the "not trusted" description, the point is the same. There's no point laughing (although it is laughable) at claims by Trump that the Democrats are going to cheat and steal the election, when that was the exact same tactic used by Schiff & others during the impeachment.
You can’t trust this president to do the right thing. Not one minute. Not for one election. Not for the sake of our country. You just can’t. He will not change and you know it. What are the odds if left in office that he will continue trying to cheat? I will tell you: 100%. Not 5, not 10, not 50, but 100%. If you have found him guilty and you do not remove him from office, he will continue trying to cheat in the election until he succeeds.

You think posting a gif is a valid point? I would strongly disagree. It was a cheap shot, because you took zero time to justify your post.

Interestingly, my IPTV provider added OANN to my package yesterday. I watched it for a few hours, it’s like it exists in a parallel universe to all other new networks. I love it

What's the point in explaining it? Now that I've accused you of hypocrisy rather than being ironic, you still don't admit it.

You pulled someone up for not having a balanced objective view. Yet you have not pulled up the majority of posters in this thread for doing the exact same thing on a regular basis.

    That makes you a hypocrite.

Try again. That makes me biased. I don't have to respond to every post in order to not be a hypocrite.

If someone critiques Trumps health, they should also be ready to accept that others will critique Biden's health. I defend Biden's health but have never commented on Trumps. I'm not interested in it. That's bias, not hypocrisy.

I'm biased in favour of Biden because I believe Trumps is a terrible human being and a worse POTUS. I like Biden, but i wouldn't be ideologically aligned with him. I would like to go for a few pints with him though.
