There is a bigger spiritual war going on. Trump is part of a wider issue. It has been coming for a long time and it is coming to a head now. Trump can't be controlled or intimated by the media. We are witnessing a fight between God and the Devil and it will result in the destruction of America.

Its been obvious for a long while that I'm likely not quoting a serious account, but you're being a bit too on the nose in describing Trump here, aka the man with the most powerful job in the here who spends more time looking to cause division via media than just about any other activity of his (outside of possibly watching FOX News... who also infamously look to cause division via media for most of the day).

Trumps biggest problem right now is that his Playbook doesn't work anymore.

Up to now , when bad news came up he'd just say/do something outrageous and it would push the original bad thing off the front page.

There was such an endless stream of crap that no one issue really lasted long enough to really stick.

Think Hilary and Benghazi - Benghazi STUCK , "Buttery Mails" STUCK.

With Trump the media have spent the last few years playing Front page whack-a-mole with a steady stream of new stories.

That worked for Trump as each story never really got the time to soak in the thinking of the typical low information voter. So Trump was able to brush it ALL away as "fake News" or "witch hunt" and some people would buy that angle

Now though , He CANNOT get Covid19 off the Front page , nothing he does keeps it away , it keeps coming back and his abject failure has really really soaked in with people - They KNOW how awful a job he has done, he can no longer distract them with the shiny object of some other petty or stupid action.

All he knows is the Roy Cohn mantra - "Deflect and distract, never give in, never admit fault, lie and attack, lie and attack".

But it's not working anymore , Covid19 is too big , too horrible , too abject a failure for Trump. He can't get away from it.

And because of that same Cohn Mantra , he can't admit his mistake and try to shift gears - He just keeps lying and trying to distract and deflect and it's just not working.

Trump is the divider, and it's how he has been via media (esp social media) since before he even announced he would be running for president or any if the media hoopla began.

You've built yourself up a false idol, and that false idol has turned out to be a wolf. The wolf wasn't disguised though, it was a wolf long before you made an idol of it. For many, it was the fact that it was a wolf that led to the false idolatry. Though anyone familiar with the history of the religious right movement shouldn't be surprised in the least by that.

For the whole of history, the majority of people have not believed in Jesus. People are turning their back on religion for several reasons, one of thos being the Catholic churches despicable behaviour when it came to clerical abuse. Another reason is people are simply seeing through the lie that is religion.

Its all irrelevant in this thread anyway, maybe ask over in the christianity threads and get their thoughts.

The crimes committed by members of the Catholic Church were done by people. Christ did not teach that. Turning your back on what Christ preached because of crimes committed by men and women in the Catholic Church is not the answer. You don’t need to be part of a religion to have God in your life. Having a relationship with Christ builds strength and character which is especially needed when facing life’s challenges.

Christianity says we are all brothers and sisters in Christ. If a person is living there life in accordance with Christ then they should not be racist.
