Anyone riding the 3t strada,Merlin have some great offers on them at the moment, and seriously tempted by one.how is the 1x in real world scenarios,and if anyone had any feedback on racing with the 1x that would be great

52 up front with the 11 36 should give a reasonable range, but i would imagine it could be quite gappy.

re the pro team sponsorship - yeah, it was unfortunate the way that went.

Merlin seem to be on a major clearout! Pity they have no TT rigs going (bar 3 which I aint interested in!)

I am a big fan of the idea of 1x for racing, it is a rare day on irish roads in a race you need to come out of the 52 or 53, in most scenarios I crosschain it till I don't need to anymore.

It’s a pity the cheaper one on merlin is sold out in medium as I think I’d have bought it . I’m a big fan of 1by . If any other site is selling it cheap let me know

Interesting alright but mechanical disc breaks are woeful after using hydraulic ones . Wheels are sadly woeful too . Still a nice set of wheels and you would be up and running . The Tempest is a beauty

I suspect the reason I will be dropped will be completely separate from the number of chainrings I have....
