Interesting that the City vs Arsenal game is scheduled on the first day back. Conceivable then, if City lose that, Liverpool can win the title at Goodison? Is that right? I've kinda forgotten the permutations during the break!

If that is right - that game's definitely at a neutral venue!

Been two and a half months since the Atletico game. Today is the first day since then that I actuall look forward to football and chat about it again.

Watching when UK ruled Europe on ITV4, 81 next (whenever the next episode is). Mad semi final against BM that year.

In the 80 final the Forest captain only knew the Hamburg captain and Kevin Keegan. He had no idea who the other fellas he was playing were. Times have changed.

The BBC have 4 premiership games to show, free to air.

How fitting it would be for Liverpool to win their first title in decades on the Beeb rather than Sky, just like the good ol days.

Cannot see SKY allowing a potential league decider to go to any other channel.

I think there might be some unusual results over the next two months though. No fans in stadium, no matches for players in 3 months.

I was thinking about this will we see some shocks our will the top teams who have the better players win by even more if the rest haven't had a chance to work on things ,

Could our lads have kept fitter than guys who are less professional in lower teams ,

Oh well wherever it's being played then. I just want to get it done as quick as possible. I realise a Merseyside derby title win involves Arsenal beating City, but sure let's not rule that out.

We're just too good. No team has been this far ahead in the history of football, the pandemic hasn't worked so this is the final attempt. :D

He's complaining about money grabbing by wishing he was playing now so he'd get paid more money.

It's all relative, footballers were very well paid in those days compared to the rest of the population.

If the grounds empty, I don't realyl hink it matters where we win it.

As long as it;s somewhere nearby and not London or Newcastle.

They were, but at 35 or whatever were set adrift into the world with no education in lots of cases, work experience or clue how to function outside of the football bubble. It was a real problem then for top level players, which explains the after dinner circuit and so on. Obviously affected lower level players too, and still does in a lot of cases, but at least there wasn't a big fame bubble for those guys.

It's another aspect of that old trueism "youth is wasted on the young". Fecking kids!
