Does anyone have any information on the new Parent's Benefit? Does it mean you get an extra two weeks paid leave in addition to the 26 weeks paid Maternity Benefit plus the 16 weeks unpaid Maternity Leave i.e that in the first year of a child's life, you'd have 28 weeks paid and 16 weeks unpaid? Ok I got confused because they were not topping up you! Well either way they are in the wrong. They should be topping up everyone’s parent’s benefit or give the men their original
6 weeks plus let them get the additional two weeks not topped up.
