Panasonic TV and 5/6 year warranty question.

I thought I'd post this in a new thread rather than my previous one.

I have a question regarding the TV warranty. I was looking on the Panasonic website to see if I needed to register my TV there. They are currently offering a 5 year warranty on several of their models which includes my recent purchase.

Is there a need for me to register on their website for that warranty or is the RS 6 year warranty totally separate from that? If registration is needed, two of the conditions were:

5. This Warranty is open to participating retailers only, please check with your chosen retailer that they are participating in this Warranty prior to purchasing a product to avoid any disappointment.

6. Specific seller exclusions: Products purchased from participating retailers via Ebay or Amazon whether listed as new or otherwise will not be eligible for the promotion. National retailers, such as Currys, John Lewis, Costco, Argos, Amazon or Supermarkets – are not participating retailers. Please check with your retailer for further information to avoid disappointment.

Any advice on this please?

Hi Blitvig.

It's always good to register your TV with the manufacturer anyway as this is always another avenue should there ever be any issues.
Having the extended manufacturers warranty would be worth while.
I went through the claim process on the Panasonic link and Richersounds are on the list of retailers. so I would go ahead and register.

Our own 6 year guarantee is totally separate from Panasonic's own warranty.
