Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Brand New Fibre outside my gate - who do I contact?

    Hi

So last week new fibre cabling was put in outside my gate - I'm told I'm in an area that is not commercially viable, so I assume its a government contract - but who do I ask about getting connected or will someone contact me telling me its available.

I'm not showing up as yet as having fibre available (which is understandable).

I'm like a child at Christmas - just waiting to get connected - I've maybe 1mb now if I'm lucky.

Firstly, you'd need to know, who has installed said fibre.

There are 4 major players installing fibre in Ireland at the moment: OpenEIR, SIRO, NBI and Virgin.

NBI is not out of the planning stages yet. So no .. it is not the NBP.

Smaller regional providers sometimes also install their own fibre.

First step first: what do the markings on the fibre say ? If they can be identified that is.

    /M
