That ball was left on the line by our lads when Poite was going to the TMO. So; I guess it was a good call to have it as a try.

    Stupid from Henderson that

Very frustrating. Just giving them free field position.

used to like him as a pundit, but his unbiased favouritism of certain players is just unprofessional

Plus he has the personality of a plank...in fact in terms of general sports knowledge, I think the plank would win out

Brain dead from Henderson. Whatever about the high tackle, keeping his arm around his neck was idiotic

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,247 ✭✭✭Boscoirl

The Welsh player moved Henderson’s arm up to his neck for that Pen

Stander should've just fell on that

AWJ pass was a mile forward for the Welsh try.

It wasn’t. The one before it from Biggar to him was, however.

With a gale force wind behind them, you would expect Wales to run in a few tries.

This Wales team couldn't be further from a gatland side

Earlsie having a stormer since he came on, great reads and tackles.

One more score could finish off these lads, just need to hold out here

Wales are just so much more enjoyable to watch with ball in hand.

Looked on the shoulder to me.

Was around the neck at least twice in the tackle

Surely he was cleared and swung back onto the Welsh side by the Welsh player?

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,297 ✭✭✭✭JRant

Romain is one of the great scoreboard watchers of the referee world. Once a team gets a couple of scores up he suddenly starts to ping for stuff he’s let go all game.

"Well, yeah, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"

    That grounding looked sloppy.

He wasn't going to check that grounding at first.

Looked sloppy but did a good job... well actually no he didn’t get it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 56,778 ✭✭✭✭walshb

He did not ground that. Lost it!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,433 ✭✭✭Dave_The_Sheep

    He's going to give this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,008 ✭✭✭leakyboots

Poite awards try, tells TMO he doesn't think it was a try and asks him to check grounding

    Gas man

Thank yuou Poite, all is forgiven

    Poite really is some numpty.

"I saw clearly the grounding..."

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,770 ✭✭✭✭Weepsie

    Poites positioning there is criminal

He's blocking a player potentially getting in and under the ball.

    He's just in the way

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,570 ✭✭✭dublinman1990

Eh. He didn't ground the ball with his hand. It was so close for Wales to ground it though. Good call by TMO.

Big big call. That try was much more conclusive than Ireland's last try. None of those angles showed me clear air between ball and hand for me.

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,297 ✭✭✭✭JRant

Romain clearly gave the try, then says to the TMO it was lost forward and to check the grounding :)

For a fella that gives the aura that he knows it all, Dave McIntyre was pretty clueless there. Said how great a try it was initially from the first replay.

I think it was the Leinster v Osprey Top 12 final a few years ago, still confused as to what the f**k he was doing that day

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,433 ✭✭✭Dave_The_Sheep

Quite happy to be wrong there.

He gave it and he didn’t see a knock on but for the TMO to check it.
