Garden debris in house I'm hoping to buy

    Hi,

Myself and my partner are in the process of buying a house. There is a huge mound behind the garage. It appears to be rubble/garden debris and looks to have been there a long time. The surveyor thinks it's at least 2 skips worth.
Can we ask current owners to remove it before we buy?

    Advice much appreciated.

Yes of course you can ask. Usually it's done through auctioneer. I've heard of various examples of this happening.
You've nothing to lose by asking. Best of luck with it.

Suck it up and get on with buying the house. You will only annoy the seller

Depends on how much the seller needs the sale or how much you want the house . Two skips and some guys to shift it will cost 7 or 800 euro .

You can ask...but are you likely to need skips anyway?

Ask away. I've been on both sides of it, asked a seller to remove and was asked to remove stuff. Is quite common.
