Think you might have to reread their manifesto there padd.

(For what they're worth anyway, and I say that about all party's)

Louth prediction's so far according to RTE.

SF topping the polls there too. 43%

    SF 2
    FF 1
    FG 1

Dogfight for the last one ged Nash of labour might scrape over the line.

It looks like dumping Gerry Adams was a smart move. They got 29% last time.

Varadkar not great on 20 percent tallies wise and won't get running mate across line probably

I hope Regina Doherty goes too. Boasting about welfare increases as fg minister. When her own party were throwing out a fiver to all on welfare and a euro usc cut to someone sitting just below the marginal rate on mid thirty thousands the last few budgets. They forgot who voted them in !

There was never an expectation that he would.

It is. There's a bleedin' knackers yard beside the post office.
It's a big area there are good and bad bits.
I live here unlike you I am guessing?
I have two post offices near me both nowhere near a scrap yard.

Possibly but he was still expected to at least top the poll no?

Results so far is a disaster for FG. They will have no mandate to stay in government. Sinn Fein votes are in double figures compared to FF and FG votes.

They will have more seats than SF sure.

That whole Card scandal/squabble with the data protection commisioner was a waste of money aswell. FG again deciding they are always right no matter what. Be gas if it was entirely scrapped.

    Far from certain yet.

Longford have a SF TD again I see as well.

Topped the polls, never seen that one coming either.

Is 'dumping' the new term for retiring?

I read that manifesto and have looked into this point extensively.

Its ether 65k per house or 130k per house, which is still short of the 300k or so needed to build a house in the greater Dublin area.

    SF economics.

    certainly not these days.

if only there were good jobs down the country FG mightve done better out of the subsequently demographic changes. what a pity.

No, im not proclaiming they won't, just that it's far from certain at the minute.

Am I right in saying that if you reach the quota, only the surplus gets distributed? Unless you get the quota on the 1st count and your entire vote gets distributed?

    No
If you get a surplus on the first count your surplus is distributed based on the proportion of your total vote.

That would be like saying every constituency with a SF candidate topping the poll is SF heartland.

Considering the number of candidates FG and SF ran, it will take an absolute disaster for FG for them to end up with less seats than SF.
