Any other foreign politicians invited ?

Or is this a reminder of where SF's real roots are - abroad.

oooh agh up the ra..what a message of appeasement they are sending to our unionist brothers and sisters in the north

But surely it's their high wages (The big names, be they on contract or not) that is the issue for people?

It is, but it's misdirected at RTE employees. Same as the 'bankers' nonsense.

Brendan Howlin congratulations to SF candidate.
Very upfront about poor performance of labour.
He is a decent straight shooter imo.

Jan OSullivan gone?! She was a useless minister for education delighted.

I don't think anyone seriously was calling for the wages of the canteen lady to be regularised.

O'Neill in a sort of Lord Lieutenant role overseeing the Irish having their election and being shown around by one of the local Dublin politicians.

Innocuous campaign. I would say that is Brendan's tenure over.

    It probably is.
But tbh I don't mind him, not the most exciting leader but he comes across as a decent sort to me

Brendan will always be gracious in defeat. Kelly will launch a leadership challenge no doubt if he gets elected.

Does SF really wanna be in govt this time round?

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,583 ✭✭✭✭Loafing Oaf

Looks likely. Problem is will it happen if FG is the largest party? Would FF members wear another term of propping up FG?

Michael Lehane predicting FF 41 Fg 39 SF 37.

Just a bare majority for FF-FG; how do they flesh it out if they make some arrangement between the two? Get the Greens on board, or do a few side deals with Healy Reas, Lowry etc.?

It's sad that this has to be pointed out.

thats what howlin got his dig in about. "The days of not wanting to be in govt are over for them" essentially what he said.

    Oh Christ Alan Kelly!
I had managed to blank his existence out!
Surely they can do better than him?

I get your point, but ironically they're not likely to be RTE employees either.

As will Aodhan o'Riordan who Ive backed at 14/1 to be next Labour party leader, its a double bet because you need to be a TD first to run for leader. Last time out none of the Labour TDs would even nominate Alan Kelly so if Jan o'Sullivan loses her seat Aodhan should have a clear run at it.
