im not the one who keeps bringing him up.

But you keep staunchly defending him and his "talents".

Let him go, no one is buying his nonsense, he is an absolute delusional cretin who thought he could be the Big Bad Orange Man of Ireland.

He is a sweaty incoherent mess who has been told several times now to Fúck Off!

The ones which didn't run in the first place by the looks of things. Everyone else are crossing the line.

Dun Laoghaire is definitely one. Isn’t there the boxer as well too? Was he dropped before the closing date or is he still running?

O Brien in dun laoghaire is looking unlikely but he's doubled his vote from the last election.

Don't think we will ever see a Sinn Fein td in dun laoghaire rathdown constituencies. Maybe in 10 - 20 years when most of the 65+ are gone.

FFG really going to be stuck between a rock and a hard place, either do deal together, break their promise and deal with SF. Don't think either can risk another election now that SF know when they can gain extra seats.

Hopefully SF get into bed with FF, if you lie down with dogs ya get up with fleas. Ask Labour about it!

How do SF top the polls when they don't have the bodies to form a government? They are all neck and neck percentage wise, how does that translate into seats?

First they came for the socialists...

They didn't run enough candidates. Simple

Michael McGrath on RTE lining up beside Jim O'Callaghan. Their leader needs to listen

Protest vote is part of the answer, the other part is actually listening to people. I met with 6 TD's, 2FF, 1SF, 1 IND, 1 FG and 1 PBP. The SF candidate did the most homework and could speak to the crowd that was there.

And if they can't. Would you agree with FG and FF getting into bed together?

They must be absolutely kicking themselves for not running more candidates.

At the same time they could well get the opportunity in a few months to do that. FF FG already attacking them from all angles. Not a good approach given the way things have panned out.

The lovely Verona might take a FG seat. Poetic justice if it materializes.

Nope but not getting in on second count is embarrassing, he will get second or third seat

He will be elected but it will take at least one more count before he is.

I dont think an FF/FG coalition really is that big an issue for either of them any more. Its not the 20th century anymore. The political landscape has changed completely from the old civil war divide. They are poltically twins. Joining as coalition partners (full merger still a few decades away, but that too will come) is the natural and correct order of things. And entirely consistent with the democratic process.
It looks the favourite to come about now.

The people here think the young guy in Galway east might not make it...not sure on others but they look like they might get high 30s out of 42 candidates

Plenty are liked Catherine Murphy springs to mind, or Pearse Doherty. Plenty more.

The money isn't exactly thankless either :)

They have never been in government.

    I can't think of anyone.
