Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Speeds to my house V neighbors

    Hey all.
I just purchased a house in Stillorgan, Co. Dublin. I go onto airwire.ie and type in my postcode. I get VDSL as my only option at speeds of 7m/4m. Now when I put in my neighbors house postcode, on the same side of the road, on both sides of me, they have speeds of 90m/20m.
I have contacted EIR, to pretend that I want the internet, but sure the sales guys just wanting to sell confirmed those speeds at my house.
Whats going on their? I should be moving in, in three to four weeks, so im not in the house yet. Maybe someone with more knowledge could throw some light on this
    Thanks
    Ed

Could be a few things, house been vacant a while? No line for 2yrs and there may be no metallic path to prequal. Could also be faulting and throwing off test values.

You can contact Airwire and ask them to look at the prequal data, or order and the techs installing may fix the problem and yould be able to reprofile within a month.

Could be spot on. House has being vacant for 10 months maybe. It was also rented before that and I have no idea if they had a telephone line.
That’s great then. Should have good net once I get into it then...
