Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My wife and I are looking to buy a house in the country. We found one we think is perfect and have made an offer and are close to agreeing a price. However now we've just found out that the owner/builder didn't quite follow the planning permission and has had to apply for retention planning permission. Any advice? Worth going through on the purchase?

Did they get retention? If not wait for the sellers to get retention and if you still like the house for the price buy it.

Once Retention is granted, get the vendor to supply a Certificate of Compliance with the Retention Permission.

Maybe ask a professional from your side to view the Retention Application to make sure what they applied for is what's on site.
