Garden wall query

    Hi

One of our garden walls has a big crack following the brick running up the middle of it. It's about 20ft in length and about 5ft in height. It's old enough (~30years). Its just the single 4inch bricks(??) Not cavity blocks.

Looking at it closer the whole wall on both sides of the crack can be moved forward and backwards. It's like its foundation is even broken in the middle or something??

Would anyone know what may be happening here? And if it might be redeemable or do you think it is a case of knocking it and rebuilding?

I won't be attempting to do anything myself but I would just like to have some ideas of what might be happening before I get someone in.

    Thanks,
    Brian
