I found Hitfilm Express easy to manage.

Depending on the state and format of your files, you may even be able to join them using a binary copy - open command prompt, switch to directory with clips, enter command "copy /b (clip1name) (clip2name) (...) (combinedclipname)"

Davinci Resolve, OpenShot and Hitfilm Express (amongst many others) are all pretty good and functional non-linear editing suites.

The state of your starting files may require additional work - NLEs are optimised for specific containers and codecs, so you might find yourself needing to e.g. convert from MP4/MKV to a codec in an AVI container. If this happens, and you need to know more about what your files are, use something like MediaInfo to figure out what your clips are.

The Windows 10 photos App is pretty decent for quick, simple movie making.

I tried Windows 10 video maker.
While the results were acceptable the interface is atrocious.
