Soc Dems policy about gender neutral wards and homeless accomodation

I was considering voting SD as I found their candidate very good during the debate on Galway Bay FM. I was reading their website trying to find out more about them when I came across that they want to have gender neutral mental health and homeless facilities ("We need gender neutral facilities in all services including those that help the most vulnerable in our communities such as homeless and mental health services." https://www.socialdemocrats.ie/socdems-lgbti-policy-bringing-hope-and-building-trust/)

I've never emailed a party or a candidate before but I was shocked they would advocate for this. I sent them the report from England that there had been 1,019 reported sexual assaults on mixed sex mental health wards in only 2.5 years (these aren't even genuinely mixed sex they may share recreation or other facilities) https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2020/01/07/1000-sex-assaults-mixed-sex-wards-investigation-finds/.

A lot of young inexperienced people involved with that party. Not surprised if they have a hand in the manifesto. I'm not anti-youth. Established Irish parties have the opposite issue :-).

However a party should be tempered with the experienced voice of reason.
